Food was ok but not special. Filet mignon & carrots were good. Service was bad, slow & non attentive dessert never came... super long delays...... server was more busy doing shots at diffrent tables ... staff should be more focused... needs a bit of refining & training overall.View more

j'y suis allé avec ma copine & mes 2 pré-adolscents. Comme je disais, j'avais de grandes attentes. & bien....je n'ai pas été déçu. Des cocktails surprenants & délicieux inscrits dans une carte des vins diversifiée & cohérente tout en étant très raisonnable quant au prix. Les entrées à la carte sont nombreuses & variées & bonifiées de beaucoup d'entrée du moment. Les pièces de viande sont expertement apprêtées. Le tout couronné d'un service prompt & attentionné (Je salue Gabriel !) exécuté dans une chic ambiance lounge.View more

. Lorsqu'on rentre on rentre tout de suite dans l'ambiance, j'ai bien aimé l'accueil de l'hôte , lumière tamisée, le décor est aesthetic, très intime. La serveuse super! Elle nous a même offert des shot pour goûter comme bienvenue du resto. Les shot étaient vraiment bon! La salade de pieuvre était bonne, la viande aussi. La viande A1. Par contre, mon risotto .. hmm je dirai que le noir premièrement fait en sorte que le plat à l'air trop "consistant". Également c'est moins beau pour les yeux quant à moi un risotto noir, car je mange beaucoup avec les yeux, donc déjà ça peut couper l'appétit un peu. Ensuite le risotto était très correct je mettrai un 5.5/10. Un peu pâteux aussi je trouve. Le homard est bon, mais ce n'est pas comparable à d'autres.View more

I went there for a special occasion with my significant other, Availability was nice, not having to wait 2-3 weeks for reservations is a plus. Overall good, Asked for a Grey Goose Cranberry & got a Ketel one. Espresso Martini needs works. Appetizers needs more variety & maybe halve the portions, You get less Salad for twice the price at Mandy's... Steak were really good, the oven potatoes felt like it was re-heated in the oven... Wait time was a big issue, our drink arrived quickly but as mentioned above weren't top notch. Appetizers took 30 minutes & steak took so long to the point my SO wasn't hungry anymore. Music also WAY to loud people needed to yell to have conversations. Staff were really friendly & understanding. Very nice location & the esthetic of the restaurant is by far one of the best I've seen in a long time Hopefully some stuff are addressed because this is a nice place overall !View more

Gabriel a été charmant, l'endroit est assez joli & c'est vraiment bien placé sur Sherbrooke, mais ce n'est professionnel de vendre pour un aligot une simple "purée gratinée"...On le fait remarquer, mais ça ne change rien...Par ailleurs, la salle est terriblement bruyante alors qu'elle n'était pas pleine, c'est dommage...expérience plutôt décevante au final.View more

Sel Noir is hands down one of Montreal's best steakhouses. I've been a few times & what i love the most is how every new experience is enhanced from the previous one. Improvement is of most importance in this industry! I've always been greeted warmly, served perfectly balanced cocktails in a timely manner (if i want a simple cocktail, like a vodka soda, it'll be served in a flash!) & ate tasty food. The portions are also more generous than other places i've been. Drinks🍀 Purple Haze is spring in a drink (& a strong one girlies, if you know what i mean) As an espresso martini aficionado, the Sel Noir is probably my favourite one in the city🍸 & it's hard to miss a Spicy Marg, yet i've lived through that unfortunate event & didn't have a marg for months. never had a bad one here ;) Entrées🍀 my fav "sharing" combo is: Gravlax + Burrata + Caesar Salad + App of the ✨moment✨ Sides🍀 mushrooms + carrots are a must & table fries are a non negotiable! Main🍀 I keep it simple stupid & go for the rib eye, with the cream cheese sauce (!!!) & cajun butter. It's flavourful, buttery, great& simple. Nothing more to add.
