What an incredible restaurant!! We came for a friends birthday & the food, drinks & service were phenomenal. Natalia in particular was absolutely incredible & put in so much work to make our night special 🥺 cannot thank them enough - we will hopefully be back!!
Lobster ravioli was on point (great quality seafood included) & don't forget to order the focaccia with your meal so you can soak up all the sauces. Amazing service & an ideal spot to go to in Griffintown.
Nous avons essayé ce nouveau restaurant dans le quartier. Bien que les ingrédients soient visiblement de qualité & les plats recherchés & intéressants, tout était bon, mais sans plus. Les plats dégustés ont tous le potentiel d'être excellents, mais il manque un petit quelque chose à chaque plat, à notre goût, pour rehausser les saveurs & en faire quelque chose de vraiment spécial qui donne envie de revenir encore & encore. Un goût plus salé, acidulé, ou épicé selon les plats pour passer de'réconfortant' à'cuisine gastronomique'. Prix très bons pour le quartier. Belle présentation des assiettes. Nous avons eu un bon service & la terrasse est confortable.
Charmant restaurant qui offre d'excellents plats italiens personnalisés. On y fait d'agréables découvertes gustatives, le service chaleureux demeure très courtois & on s'y sent tout de suite à l'aise. Le décor est recherché, moderne, sans être chargé. Je conseille un cocktail Signature pour bien débuter le repas. Le mien, un'Purple rain' était un ravissement. Bravo à toute l'équipe qui participe à la bonne marche de l'établissement. Longue vie à'Sauce'!
My recent visit to Sauce left me with mixed feelings, primarily due to the stark contrast between the lackluster food & the truly outstanding service.
From a culinary perspective, the experience was quite disappointing. The lobster ravioli I ordered was unfortunately watery, lacking the rich, concentrated flavor one expects from such a dish. Equally uninspired was the fried chicken, which arrived completely devoid of seasoning - not even a hint of salt. For anyone who appreciates good food, the offerings here simply don't measure up.
However, where the kitchen fell short, the front-of-house staff truly shined. The service was excellent throughout our meal. Our server was attentive, professional, & went above & beyond, making an otherwise forgettable meal more palatable.
We opted to sit on the terrace, which presented a missed opportunity. While it has the potential to be a beautiful outdoor dining spot, it currently feels neglected, as if the budget ran out mid-design, resulting in a hodgepodge of'beach chairs' rather than cohesive outdoor seating.
Given the significant culinary shortcomings & the uninspired ambiance, I wouldn't return. While the service was commendable, it simply isn't enough to compensate for the unappetizing food & the disjointed setting.

i stopped in here after an afternoon of painting by the canal, & we were welcomed warmly. we weren't sure if we could just get a drink, & were told we would need to eat something, which we were happy to. we were escorted to the lively courtyard, where there was music playing & a festive atmosphere.
one of us got a beautiful little salad, one ordered calmari, one had the lobster ravioli & i had oysters & gaspacho. all were more than satisfied with the food.
but it was the attentive service & the vibe that made it special. two of our camarades left, but we stayed on to enjoy the atmosphere & have another glass of wine.
A fantastic new addition to the area. The service was superb, staff were fun, attentive & engaging. We enjoyed the everything we ordered very much & will go back soon. It is a new evolving menu - a few tweaks to it would bring it just a notch higher for us but please ignore the ridiculous 1 star reviews.
The food, ambiance, service & drinks were all fantastic. Definitely recommend the seafood pasta & the purple speciality cocktail (I forget the name of it).
Really cozy restaurant, I would go back, they even had an opera singer who sang happy birthday, which was a fun & unique touch.
Merveilleux restaurant, tout était parfait: nourriture, ambiance & un excellent service. Nous y retournerons assurément, & finalement un coup de coeur pour la poutine aux pommes, un pur délice!

J'ai été déçue par ma visite à la buvette chez sauce. Le service fût impeccable mais les 4 plats que nous avons mangés manquaient de saveur & les fruits de mer étaient caoutchouteux.
This place is such a hidden gem!! Didn't take many photos as I didn't plan on posting… but it deserves a shoutout , loved the lobster pasta, the buratta & the caviar app that we ordered. Would definitely recommend checking out!

Great service & drinks, however sorry to concur that the food was a miss. Not sure the owner arguing in the comments is helping the situation…
Every dish lacked flavour; the ravioli was mushy but the shrimp around it tough & unseasoned. The focaccia was inedible without a dip in the balsamic. Not a single dish I would order again.
But lots of promise - especially with the great service & nice ambience.
Edit to reply to the owner's comment: I evaluated you fairly, pointing out the positives (service, drinks & atmosphere) but 2 stars overall because the food was bad. I go to a restaurant to eat so obviously my experience will be most heavily determined by the quality of the food, not how nice the waiters are. Hope that helps!
