Review Summary

Reviews describe Sauce Buvette Du Quartier as a warm, welcoming spot with a cozy vibe and attentive service, where generous portions invite sharing. The Italian inspired menu features fresh calamari, branzino, lobster ravioli, rigatoni with beef ragu, and house made focaccia with whipped ricotta, complemented by a well priced wine list and inventive cocktails like Purple Rain. Guests praise the friendly staff, thoughtful kitchen touches, and a lively, inviting atmosphere, although some dishes are noted as uneven in flavor and seasoning and the terrace can feel loud at times. Many call it a new gem in Griffintown and say they would return for the hospitality and overall dining experience. Overall, Sauce Buvette Du Quartier comes across as a standout for flavorful cuisine, generous portions, and a convivial ambiance, with room for consistency across the menu.

I've been to Sauce Buvette du Quartier many times, & every visit is unforgettable.

Every time I go, I have to order the Bresaola, the whipped ricotta, & their calamari they never miss. I've also been getting the lobster-filled ravioli with an order of focaccia, & it's absolutely insane.

What makes it even more impressive is that there's only one person in the kitchen. Domenico cooks everything himself, Wednesday to Saturday, lunch & dinner.

Then there's the cocktail & wine list such a unique variety. I always order the Il Carbonaione, & it's the perfect pairing with the lobster ravioli.

Best part about this is is that it had free parking at the back no need to find a parking lot on the street!😊

Went here for the spectra deal. Overall decent for the deal price, though the drinks were expensive for what they were.

The bresaiola & arancini apps were okay. My friends really enjoyed their braised beef, but the bisque pasta was kinda tasteless not at all like bisque. Also way too many cherry tomatoes dumped on it. Dessert was simple.

Wine was good, though at one point my friend got a mulled wine instead of a normal red. Not sure how that happened. My to-kill-a (tequila) spider just tasted like cassis & sugar.

Live music wasn't great unfortunately, & I'm usually pretty supportive of amateur acts. Cool decor though.

Service was friendly & accommodating but needed to be trained better. Not sure why they don't give you a bill with the price breakdown before paying.

I am not one to usually write reviews, but let me tell you Sauce deserves it ! ✨ We'd heard good things from friends & went with our little group to experience the restaurant ourselves. Some of us had wine (they have a vast selection) & others cocktails. I had the Purple Rain & totally recommend it !! The food was amazing & so so TASTY ! We shared appetizers & mains. Portions are perfect for sharing if you want to taste more than one thing on their menu. The calamari was so fresh & my favorite starter & loved loooved the Branzino 🐟 ! The staff was incredibly friendly & attentive !! The Chef even sent bigger dessert portions knowing we were a group so we could all have a good taste of everything ! They even offered us Limoncello to finish the evening. To add to our beautiful experience, the restaurant's ambiance is welcoming & warm, the decorations are so well-thought & curated, & so was the music. I totally recommend 🍝✨👏🏼 !!!

A new GEM in Griffintown! I just found my new go-to spot! SAUCE delivers on all fronts-delicious food all around, a well-priced wine list featuring private imports, & generous portions that leave you fully satisfied. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming, making it the perfect place to unwind with friends or enjoy a great meal. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Can't wait to go back!

i stopped in here after an afternoon of painting by the canal, & we were welcomed warmly. we weren't sure if we could just get a drink, & were told we would need to eat something, which we were happy to. we were escorted to the lively courtyard, where there was music playing & a festive atmosphere.

one of us got a beautiful little salad, one ordered calmari, one had the lobster ravioli & i had oysters & gaspacho. all were more than satisfied with the food.

but it was the attentive service & the vibe that made it special. two of our camarades left, but we stayed on to enjoy the atmosphere & have another glass of wine.

we'll be back!
