Review Summary

Reviews portray Sansotei Ramen as a cozy, welcoming spot with a wide ramen lineup and solid to excellent broth that many say rivals Japan, especially tonkotsu varieties; noodles are often described as chewy and the toppings generous, with miso, tonkotsu noir, and shoyu iterations getting praise while a few bowls are flagged for being overly salty or having undercooked noodles. Sides like gyoza and fried chicken receive strong compliments. Service is generally friendly and attentive, though a number of comments note busy weekends or opening day rushes leading to slower service or understaffing and occasional miscommunication about orders or discounts. The atmosphere tends to be described as modern, clean, and comfortable, with good value and occasional standout deals, and several readers say they would return, often citing the Royalmount location and consistent quality across visits.

Stopped by the new Sansotei Ramen at Royalmount today for their grand opening! Since they were offering 50% off all ramen, the place was packed & the vibe was very high-energy, though the space itself is a bit small & felt quite crowded.
?We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen & the Black Tonkotsu Ramen. Both were excellent-the broth was rich & flavorful, easily the highlight of the meal. Because of the opening day rush, the service was definitely on the slower side & it took a while for our bowls to arrive. However, the quality of the food made up for the wait.
?Once things settle down after the opening craze, this will be a fantastic spot. We'll definitely be back for that broth!

This place is a total comfort-food win. The tonkotsu ramen is rich, creamy, & deeply flavorful, with a broth that clearly took time & care to perfect. Every sip feels warm & satisfying. The fried chicken is just as impressive. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, & perfectly seasoned. Together, they make a dangerously good combo. If you're craving authentic, well-executed ramen with standout sides, this spot is a must-try.

Finally got the chance to visit this branch, which opened two months ago. We went for Saturday lunch, & it wasn't crowded. The place was spacious with plenty of window views. We ordered a Tonkatsu Black with thin noodles & a Tomato with thick noodles. The ramen broths were rich, although slightly saltier than our taste. Other than that, everything else was great.

Went for a quick eat-&-run with the fam before heading straight home.
It was around 7 p.m. on a Sunday at Royalmount, & the place was calm since it was close to closing time. The Japanese theme really set the vibe cozy, simple, & relaxing.
We started with Gyudon, which was rich, savory, & full of flavor. Then came the ramen bowls: Tonkatsu Black Ramen with thick noodles & Miso Black Ramen with thin noodles. Both absolutely hit the spot!
A comforting meal to wrap up the weekend. 🍜✨

That's one of the best ramen places in Montreal!

Spacious place. Friendly staff. Good selection of Ramen, not confusing with too many selections. Parking available at the mall. Located on the second floor outside of the mall.

Soup is tasty but would prefer it be a bit more rich, but overall enjoyed. Didn't feel discomfort after eating the whole dish, which is great compared to 4-5 other Ramen places in Mtl.

Absolutely must try Tonkutsu+

This ramen spot blew me away from the moment I walked in. The broth was rich, deeply flavorful & filling. The noodles were perfectly chewy, springy, & just the right thickness to soak up the broth.

What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. I came with a larger group, & they went above & beyond to make space for us without making us feel rushed or cramped.
