Review Summary

Sansotei Ramen is widely regarded as a top destination for authentic, flavorful ramen in the area, with many patrons praising the rich, well-balanced broth and perfectly textured noodles. While the majority of reviews highlight the quick, friendly, and welcoming service, some guests have noted inconsistencies regarding staffing levels during busy periods and occasional variations in food preparation. The atmosphere is generally described as cozy, serene, and clean, making it a reliable choice for both casual lunches and relaxed dinners. Although individual experiences with specific menu items vary, the overall consensus points to generous portions, high-quality ingredients, and a dining experience that frequently reminds visitors of their time in Japan.

We got 2 servings of ramen, rice bowl ans gyoza. All were served warm & delicious. The serving & quality were all worth the price.

We had tried other sansotei restaurants (Ottawa, downtown Montreal), we knew it would be good. We tried different flavors (tonkatsu, tonkatsu black & miso black) as well as the fried chicken. After 4 bowls were served, we waited 20min before getting the last two bowls. Otherwise the noodles & soup bases were great.

Sansotei Ramen is a solid stop if you're craving a good bowl of ramen. The broth has real depth, rich & flavorful without being too heavy, & the noodles have a nice texture. Portions are generous & the service is quick, making it a good option whether you're grabbing a fast lunch or settling in for a proper dinner. Worth a visit if ramen is what you're after.

I like Sansoutei's ramen; however, I absolutely do not recommend this particular location. My bowl of ramen sat waiting in the kitchen for over three minutes-fully topped & ready-before it was finally brought out to me.
It was absolutely unacceptable. Naturally, by the time it reached our table, the soup was lukewarm & the noodles were soggy-it was the worst ramen I have ever had.
This is highly recommended for those looking to try a ramen shop that's much different from the usual.

Dropped in for lunch on a quiet Tuesday.
Although attached to the big swanky mall, but you have to step outside to get here.
Very somber atmosphere, every restaurant in this chain look alike.
Nice variety of ramen, but my usual is the spicy tonton with fine noodles.
As expected, the broth was rich & just spicy enough. The egg yolks were creamy enough to mix into the broth, which I love. The chasu was good, fatty but not too much. Everything was well balanced, but I feel like I was a victim of shrinkflation, because if I remember the last time I went to a Sansotei the bowl was bigger & I had more than one piece of chasu. But I could be wrong. Either way I was stuffed.
I love that they have unsweetened iced tea 🤩.
Service was great, fast & efficient.
Definitely a great place for ramen.

Stopped by the new Sansotei Ramen at Royalmount today for their grand opening! Since they were offering 50% off all ramen, the place was packed & the vibe was very high-energy, though the space itself is a bit small & felt quite crowded.
?We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen & the Black Tonkotsu Ramen. Both were excellent-the broth was rich & flavorful, easily the highlight of the meal. Because of the opening day rush, the service was definitely on the slower side & it took a while for our bowls to arrive. However, the quality of the food made up for the wait.
?Once things settle down after the opening craze, this will be a fantastic spot. We'll definitely be back for that broth!

Lousy service, ignorant personnel that doesn't bother to come & take you order. It takes an eternity to get your food on the table despite 4 people working in the kitchen for a small restaurant. They don't even bother to bring your drinks unless you ask for it. The couple near us just left after 45 minutes of waiting for the ramen. We are also beyond 45 minutes... for 1 bowl of ramen!

Very disappointing & frustrating experience.
The service was extremely slow both times I visited. I ordered a set meal but only received one bowl of ramen while others waited. The chicken wings had feathers on every piece, which is unacceptable. I won't be coming back.

I went there a few weeks ago & was very disappointed. First off the service was terrible, very slow although the place was not packed. We ordered 2 entrees & 3 ramens. We received 1 entree, but not the second one. Then 2 of the ramens we had ordered arrived but not the 3rd one. I figured they were still preparing it so I waited. After 10-15 mins, I tried to get the waiter's attention but no luck. By the time he finally came over to tell him we were missing a ramen the 2 other people were almost done with theirs, so not a great dining experience. I told the waiter about the missing ramen & I also told him that we were also missing an entree that we had ordered which were the chicken wings. He went to the kitchen, came back & said the kitchen had made a mistake & had forgotten to prepare the 3rd ramen. He then advised me that the chicken wings were frozen so that it would take more time for them to be ready. I told him that he should have let us know about it, we could've ordered something different, instead of making us wait there. In any case, they finally came with the 3rd ramen so I start eating (this was well over an hour after we ordered). One of the people I was with told me to stop eating that there was something in my bowl. I look & find a long piece of tape. I call the waiter back & show it to him. He looks confused & just grabs my bowl. I told him to also show the piece of tape to the people working in the kitchen. They all stood around that piece of tape, looking at each other, as if they were looking at something that was out of this world. The waiter came back & asked me if I wanted another ramen, I told him no that we've had been there for long enough, that the experience was horrible & everyone else I was with had already finished eating & digesting their meals at that point. Oh! & to top it all off, the waiter wanted to charge me for that 3rd ramen. I had to tell him to remove it from the bill because i didn't eat it.
They did try to offer me free food, but at that point I was done. The whole experience & my dinner was ruined.

Needless to say, I will not be going back there & will not recommend to anyone.
