Im not one to write bad reviews, but the service was terrible. I've worked in the industry for a long time & I've never witnessed something like this..... seriously re-consider some of the staff or perhaps more experienced people! other than that vibes are great & so is the music.View more

I had a great night at Sans Soleil. I recently read a review complaining about waiting a long time in the rain to get in. We shared a similar experience to that. They could definitely find a solution to covering the waiting area with an awning or an overhang. It was super nice that the bar is free to get in to, which is getting more rare in Montreal. the atmosphere was great, people were dancing & smiling. The DJ was great, he started off with some funk & transitioned into some groovy house, with some nice vinyl scratching. The sound system was very impressive, it was a Klipsch system that I would love to know more about. It sounded amazing, with one complaint of the horns being right at ear level, causing a lot treble being heard & a lack of bass. A simple change of eq or a new subwoofer would solve the problem. The bar was ok, the service was nothing special but the drinks were great. It was very messy though, lots of spilled drinks & dirty glasses everywhere. Overall I had a great night, & with a couple of small fixes, I think Sans Soleil could be at the top of vinyl clubs in Montreal.View more

Had to wait in line for over an hour even though there was only 5 people in front of us. Waiting in line we heard people talk about how "cool" & "underground" & especially "worth the long wait" it was... well that was a lie, or my running theory is that everyone is brainwashed into liking this place just because everyone says its good. The music was fine. It wasnt crazy good or bad, they failed to mask how mild it was with a smoke machine. Needless to say we were disappointed. I will say the bouncer was nice though, he let me use his umbrella in the rain for the last ren seconds of our hour wait.View more

We waited at least an hour in the rain with only seven people in front of us. The bouncer had mentioned they were at "max capacity". When we finally got in, there might as well have been only 3 people. The ambiance & music is fine. Mostly filled with pretentious & "edgy" people who hate mainstream. Didn't try drinks or food.View more

Bartender & host were very fantastic- not sure their names, bartender with buzzed hair & a nose piercing & host with a buzzed head & sleeveless shirt (Feb 17th, 7:00pm). Had great recommendations, conversations, & very accommodating. Food & cocktails were incredible. Overall a highlight of our trip from Boston to Montreal.View more

sans soleil will always be a great night out - as long as you arrive early or are prepared to stand in line. the dance floor opens around 10:30 & the line piles up quickly. the space is quite small & the numbers inside are kept low so the line moves slowly, but the atmosphere is incredible & the music never disappoints.View more

This bar has 2 very different "expressions". The dinner service from 7 to 10 & the late-night techno club from 10 till late. I give 5 stars to both of them :). If you go for dinner, I suggest requesting one of the tables in the smaller room behind the baView more

Fleurs & cadeaux is one of my favorite restaurant in Montreal. The Sans Soleil is their speakeasy, but you can have dinner there before the space is turned into a dancefloor. The atmosphere is neat & cozy, so don't hesitate to reserve there if there are no availabilities at Fleurs & cadeaux. The food is great, but the service is even better: welcoming, easy going, generous, genuine. You really feel a love for what they do, & the prices are more than decent.View more

I took a trip from Toronto to mtl for a weekend in sept of 2023 & I was recommended to come here by a local & they did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, amazing music, vinyl record DJs !!! If you're not a fan of the jumpy sweaty loud clubs, this is the perfect spot!! The music was certainly the centre of attention. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the food but the cocktails were great & priced very fair !! my friends & I had a great time & will definitely be coming back. Thank you to all the staff for a great experience!!View more

Food was perfectly executed. Special shout out to Chef Aaron for proposing a thoughtful sequence of dishes. Service was also particularly friendly. Not sure I'm spelling their name correctly, but Elyes was truly the best, from the moment we arrived until we left. Vibes were also on point. Book those two DJs often ;) 11/10!View more

Quel bel endroit, un petit bar bien caché. Le choix de boissons est très bien, lcocktails, bières, vin & saké. La nourriture excellente, j'aurais aimé goûter à tout, mais ma limite a vite été atteinte avec quelques de plats partagés. Le sashimi de saumon, ouaaa le bonheur avec la petite sauce soya vieillie. Andrée-Anne a fait un excellent service & bien répondu à nos questions. Malheureusement la soirée s'est terminée rapidement avec une panne électrique. Nous avons eu droit à une facture fait à la main. Quelle expérience. À notre sortie, il y avait plusieurs camions de pompier, ce qui a dû déclencher le manque d'électricité. Nous voyons y retourner.View more
