Adorable little spot in the Dix30 for amazing dumplings & more. Great customer service, host took the time to describe & suggest dishes. They do half portions as well & you can have a portion half fried/half steam which is amazing!!
My partner & I visited Sammi & Soup in Chinatown, & it was such a treat! Despite how busy the restaurant was, the staff moved diners through quickly, & we were seated within 15 minutes. As a dumpling enthusiast, I was thrilled by the variety on the menu-fried, soup, & steamed options with so many delicious fillings to choose from. After much deliberation, we decided on the pork & chive soup dumplings, lamb soup, & sweet pork fried dumplings. The soup dumplings were absolutely incredible-bursting with flavor & perfectly tender. The fried dumplings were a touch greasy, but the pork filling was juicy & satisfying. The vibe of the restaurant is upbeat & casual, with a mostly younger crowd, making it a great spot for a quick, flavorful meal. If I lived in the area, this place would absolutely be a regular stop for me.
The food was sooooo good!! Maybe a little bland but it was still good & well worth the price, best soup dumplings I've had! But the service wasn't the best & a bit rude, & I felt like the tables were wayyyy too close together but that's just me being picky lol
Food is great at the place but they messed up my order second time; there is like always missing items Other than that amazing place; must try; great dumplings & staff is cool too Usually lines so prepare for 15-20 mins wait on the weekend

This place is really, really good. Cheap prices, good service, & ultimately excellent dumplings. Went here with my boyfriend, & we got two servings of dumplings. The first was the spicy pork steamed dumplings, which were an absolute delight, extremely tasty. We also got the fried dumplings (I believe pork & cabbage). Which were also really good.
Sammi's is an INCREDIBLE Dumpling joint in Montreal. I was ready to go back to the train station to return home & I was craving dumplings on a cold summer evening. The service is fast, the staff is friendly & their dumplings are bomb! I would 100% return because there are a lot of items on the menu I have yet to try. Soup dumplings are definitely one of my comfort foods & Sammi did exactly that. Comfort my belly.
Tried pan fried & soup dumplings. Pan fried dumplings were a bit oily & greasy on the outside, but the meat was very juicy on the inside. Soup dumplings were the highlight. Filling is so flavourful that you won't even need the chili oil & soy sauce. Definitely try the other entrees as well such as cucumber salad & cold peanut noodles. I would visit again.
We were vacationing in Montreal & it was too cold, windy, & rainy to go out for dinner. So we ordered takeout "Juicy Pork & Coriander Dumplings" from Sammi & Soupe Dumpling. We will never forget how generous & incredibly delicious Sammi's dumplings were. Truly they were the best of the best!

Nous avons pris des dumpling au porcs & une soupe won-ton chacuns, la soupe sentait le poisson & la garniture de porc etait minuscule, on n'avait pas assez de choix de sauce pour les dumplings & ils avaient un arrière gout très étrange, j'ai eu eu mal de coeur après en avoir consommer. Nous avons eu un mal de crane extrême après une heure. Le service était satisfaisant & organisé & nous répondaient assez vite.
These were very solid soup dumplings (xiao long bao) & I really enjoyed them. I tried the #14 Porc & Coriandre & #15 Poulet & Champignon. Both had very distinct flavors & you could taste the cilantro & mushroom in each of them. Wrapper had a good chewer texture & none of them were broken in the basket, which has happened to me at some cheaper soup dumpling restaurants. Restaurant was small & a little tight, but that was fine.
This is one of my favorite places to come get soup dumplings. My favorite is sweet pork. The dumplings are always so Juicy! The shrimp wonton soup as an appetizer was the right choice! Flavorful & held me down until my soup dumplings arrived
Amazing experience. The food was delicious, beat dumplings i've ever had. Special shout out to the staff members Marius, Shay, Yz & Patrick who took great care of our group.
