We went to this restaurant for our first dinner in Montreal after hearing good things, & we were not disappointed. We ordered a full portion of chicken dumplings & another of juicy pork dumplings. Both were well prepared & served hot, though we found the juicy pork dumplings to be slightly more authentic-the texture reminded us of bao.
One small note: be careful while eating the dumplings, as the juices inside can get a bit messy.View more

I had heard so many great things about this restaurant, & it definitely lived up to the hype! The dumplings were juicy, flavorful, & absolutely delicious. The portions are generous for the price & leave you feeling full & satisfied. I did try the sweet & sour soup, which wasn't quite to my taste, the texture was a bit too thick, & the flavor didn't really work for me. That said, overall everything was really good, & the service was quick & efficient. I'd happily go back!View more

My partner & I visited Sammi & Soup in Chinatown, & it was such a treat! Despite how busy the restaurant was, the staff moved diners through quickly, & we were seated within 15 minutes. As a dumpling enthusiast, I was thrilled by the variety on the menu-fried, soup, & steamed options with so many delicious fillings to choose from. After much deliberation, we decided on the pork & chive soup dumplings, lamb soup, & sweet pork fried dumplings. The soup dumplings were absolutely incredible-bursting with flavor & perfectly tender. The fried dumplings were a touch greasy, but the pork filling was juicy & satisfying. The vibe of the restaurant is upbeat & casual, with a mostly younger crowd, making it a great spot for a quick, flavorful meal. If I lived in the area, this place would absolutely be a regular stop for me.View more

Tried pan fried & soup dumplings. Pan fried dumplings were a bit oily & greasy on the outside, but the meat was very juicy on the inside. Soup dumplings were the highlight. Filling is so flavourful that you won't even need the chili oil & soy sauce. Definitely try the other entrees as well such as cucumber salad & cold peanut noodles. I would visit again.View more

I just got off volunteering & my throat scratched like the sands of the underworld so truly our plans to go here were the blessed hands of fate. I've never had soup dumplings but hot mama are they so delicious. I had the juicy pork & it was like eating meat butter, & really reasonable pricing. Fast service, warm & welcoming. & my throat felt so much better after. & the jasmine tea was soooo smooth very very yippie slay of them. we were in a bit of a hurry to go get tattoo so it was really spanking. Overall, the xiulongbaos were juicy & savory, but only the pork-shrimp-scallop flavor left an impression on me. I particularly loved the cold noodles with peanut butter actually. The service team was nice. I really liked the cozy vibe of this eatery. Yet, the seating space was quite narrow, especially when we had winter jackets around.View more
