I'd recommend to make a reservation in advance as they are so so busy for dinner. This Korean restaurant is cozy & I like the way they decorated the inside The staff took care of our table really quick. We ordered seafood pancake, rice cake & tofu soup. Everything was delicious & they were huge portion :) suggesting to share with each other haha. I'd definitely come back if I have a chance to visit Montreal again.View more

The chestnut flavor rice wine is absolutely delicious!! Go well with spicy Urdu noodles! Recommended!!!View more
Small hidden place that specializes in Korean food. Definitely recommend the beef tartare along with the udon & kimchi fried rice. Fairly priced & tasted great. Reservations recommended.View more
I am Korean. The serving part-timers here were very friendly. I ordered kimchi stew & pig's feet, which tasted a little different, but it was okay. But when I ordered extra rice, they gave me aged rice under freshly cooked rice. This is the owner's fault. It needs to be fixed.View more
The food & atmosphere was amazing !! The portions are pretty big. Rice cakes are mildly spicy😢 Overall wasn't expensive.View more
I came to Samcha after a recommendation from a friend, I was told it was extremely spicy & delicious, so I came with expectations. It was great, the food was piping hot & fresh, & the flavors were amazing. (I had the kimchi fried rice, extremely creamy & savory with that signature gochujang flavor). Along with that, I also had the spicy teokbokki with cheese that was equally delicious. Now, as to the reason why I only rated it 4*, the teokbokki was perfectly spicy, but the kimchi fried rice barely had any spice. According to my friend, it tasted as though they've toned down the spice quite a lot since her last visit. She had the spicy udon, & there was the same statement in terms of spice level. I have a pretty low spice tolerance, & when I can barely taste it, something feels wrong. I'd recommend asking to make it spicier if you're planning to order something spicy. Other than that, it's a great place with an amazingly warm & bustling atmosphere! The sojus tastes great.View more
We came right at open & it the place filled up with in 30 mins. Had high expectations the place was going be good, but it turned out average. Ordered bibimbap & was extremely disappointed. Bowl came in warm but not sizzling, maybe its me but I thought the bowl should cook the rice so you get that crispy fried rice during the meal. Chill atmosphere, but it doesnt justify the price of the food, your overpaying for average, most of servers are just standing around which is fine but it really just gives off a eat pay leave vibe. Overall 2.5 stars, but Im rounding up.View more
One of the best authentic Korean restaurant. I highly recommended. There prices were very fair & good. The foods were super delicious & well presented. There beef tartare & tobboki were to die for. Not to mention about the soju & other Korean cocktails & rice wine, they were all phenomenal. I would definitely come back to eat again.View more
The food is superb, expensive but the portions make up for it. It is a great spot (I went there as a second date!) for either one on one or as groups. The front spacing is a little crowded, & the area in the back has more room. The lighting & decoration is inviting & lovely. The last time my friends & I went, John was our server & he was super sociable (they all are!!). We got the dakhalbi culpan, KIMCHI FRIES, bulgogi rice, & ramen. Super recommend! We tried the pineapple & watermelon soju, super sweet & we adored it. Can't wait to come back soon!View more
I’ve been going to Sam Cha for a couple years now. My favourite dishes would be the seafood sondubu that comes with rice, the beef tartare & the dolsot bimbimbap. I’ve recently tried the mussel soup which, to me was mid, as well as their rosé cream udon that I found was too sweet for my liking. Besides that, the ambiance is cozy. There’s often a line up so plan ahead.View more
The kimchi fries were excellent, the drinks were good, & the staff we very nice so we still tipped but the rest unfortunately fell short especially short given the price, when ordering Dolsot Bibimbap generally it comes sizzling hot, but not only was the bowl not hot the rice wasn’t even really hot enough to cook the egg, & the tofu was fridge cold with no flavour & even after adding more kimchi from the fries & more sauce the dish was still disappointing enough that we couldn’t finish it, a problem I’ve never had before with any Bibimbap Dolsot or not, I’m hoping what happened to us was a 1 off but sadly given we spent over $100 between 2 people I can’t say it’s worth the risk to go backView more
