Had takeout from this Korean restaurant, very satisfied. Friendly staff that always put up a smile.
I have went here before to have their beef tartare & bibimbap. Stunning as always.
Make sure to reserve or come earlier during weekends as the place can be packed.
I wish you could brought back the ayce bbq, it was one of the best ayce in montreal. Sadly cancelled after covid.View more

The Kim Chi was really good & a generous serving. 2 types on the plate & well enjoyed.
Bibimbap was ok.
Cocktails were yhe low point. Glasses are way too big so the drinks are too diluted. Just a bland drink. Also, i dont want a litre of soda in my cocktail. Didnt drink it.
Service.
Very friendly, but cocktails took close to 20 minutes to be served & were then really bad.
Other than raking order & serving meal never came to check on us.

I had the seafood pancake & the bulgogi bibimbap, personally, the food was more on the bland size. Portion was generous though👍🏻 There won't be a next time but it was not that negative for an experience.🙂View more
A bit of a disappointment since there was no free side dish. We ordered some tteok bok ki fried skewers & it was good, with some sauce to dip in. We ordered some fried dumplings & they were bland, a bit too fried, too oily. The rating went downhill because of the porc bone soup, the soup was very very salty & when you remove the 3 big bones, there is barely any soup left... Anyways, not recommended. The beef bibimbap was ok, could of been better in taste.
The service was ok, it wasn't busy at lunch time, & had to ask the waitress twice for napkins.
The place didn't look too tidy, mediocre, the seats were a bit too close between clients.View more

Went during a friday at lunch, the place wasn't too packed but the atmosphere was great! The creme onion fried chicken was amazing. The batter is light & crispy, & the chicken was very juicy. The rose udon is quite sweet, but still very good. The bibimbap was good as well. The portions are very big & filling, definitely worth it for the price.View more

Pretty disappointed. I ordered the fried chicken bibimbap, the fried chicken & kimchi was very good but the rest of the dish was very bland, the egg yolk was fully cooked & my food was cold. My boyfriend's fried chicken was good but extremely salty & my sister in law's tofu was still frozen when she got it. The udon curry plate was delicious though! The staff is also very friendly & restaurant has a nice ambiance!View more
We came here for a weekend Montreal trip & I was excited to try a good Korean restaurant, & this one had lots of good reviews. IT IS JUST AS GOOD AS THE REVIEWS SAY. Their rosé sauce is unbelievable. It is the best rosé sauce I have tasted in my life. Their bibimbap & fried chicken were also REALLY good-this is the kind of restaurant where you can't decide what to get because you know everything will be equally tasty!!! Sam Cha is a delightful Korean restaurant conveniently situated near Atwater Station. It has a lovely picnic table decor & welcoming ambiance with delicious Korean cuisine! Can't wait to come back & have their Beef Tartare again! We booked a table via Google Maps' reserve feature ahead of time & was reliably given a table when we arrived. The menu is scannable via a QR Code to their menu online. We ordered their Beef Tartare - a standout dish that we recommend. Its exceptional flavours & presentation left a lasting impression. For our main course, we opted for the Korean BBQ for 2, featuring beef ribs grilled at our table via a portable stove top. The set was accompanied by an apple salad & a vegetarian dolsot bibimbap. As of Sep 2024, the table top BBQ is not part of the menu any longer. We were also impressed by the attentive & efficient service that made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Staff would occasionally check in on our table & ensure our grill was working & food was being cooked & flipped. King of Bibimbap! My wife really enjoys their "kimchi poutine". We also tried the table side Korean bbq. Which was awesome. Prices are very fair. Service can be a little bad especially once the place fills up... & it fills up fast! My suggestion to guarantee a spot, arrive 10 minutes before opening time & wait outside. If your more than 10 minutes lates, theres a possibility that you wait outside for the better part of an hour. Fair warning it's a little cramped inside. But the food makes up for it.View more

love love love this place !! ive been two times so far, & I will go again. the prices are very reasonable, the food is of amazing quality. the staff is friendly & the waiting time isn't too long, about 15 minutes !! Always great service! I've been there 4 times already & I'll keep going with my friends because it's so delicious & not so expensive compared to other restaurants. We came right at open & it the place filled up with in 30 mins. Had high expectations the place was going be good, but it turned out average. Ordered bibimbap & was extremely disappointed. Bowl came in warm but not sizzling, maybe its me but I thought the bowl should cook the rice so you get that crispy fried rice during the meal. Chill atmosphere, but it doesnt justify the price of the food, your overpaying for average, most of servers are just standing around which is fine but it really just gives off a eat pay leave vibe. The kimchi fries were excellent, the drinks were good, & the staff we very nice so we still tipped but the rest unfortunately fell short especially short given the price, when ordering Dolsot Bibimbap generally it comes sizzling hot, but not only was the bowl not hot the rice wasn’t even really hot enough to cook the egg, & the tofu was fridge cold with no flavour & even after adding more kimchi from the fries & more sauce the dish was still disappointing enough that we couldn’t finish it, a problem I’ve never had before with any Bibimbap Dolsot or not, I’m hoping what happened to us was a 1 off but sadly given we spent over $100 between 2 people I can’t say it’s worth the risk to go backView more
