korean(50) kimchi(31) spicy(27) beef(25) bibimbap(24) recommend(23) tartare(22) rice(21) beef tartare(19)Went during a friday at lunch, the place wasn't too packed but the atmosphere was great! The creme onion fried chicken was amazing. The batter is light & crispy, & the chicken was very juicy. The rose udon is quite sweet, but still very good. The bibimbap was good as well. The portions are very big & filling, definitely worth it for the price.Voir plus
the bulgogi bibimbap is very tasty & filling. I enjoy coming here as I know I'll consistently get a good meal. would recommend making a reservation ahead of time.Voir plus
my favourite korean place in Montreal! Doesn't take reservations so always need to wait though! Try their fried chicken it is so goodVoir plus
Nice atmosphere but imho not authentic, too sweet & no heat, soup was a let down, also there were no koreans or even asians in the kitchen when we visited back in April.Voir plus
Un peu déçu des pichets d'eau (gourde plastique) & de la bouffe en général. L'ambiance de l'arrière resto est ordinaire. Correct, sans plus. 3 1/2Voir plus
Tteok-bokki was absolutely delicious! The quantity to the quality, very yummy ! Mouthwatering kimchi spicy juicy tangy, full of authentic flavour! Warm ambience & cozy seatingVoir plus
Authentic Korean food. The food is quite tasty & authentic but it is more on the bar food & tappas. The taste profile is on the sweeter side. I highly recommend the beef tartare! The waiters were friendly & helpful but the service was a bit slow as they barely came to see us & we had to request them for water. Atmosphere is more lounge like & louder.
Pretty disappointed. I ordered the fried chicken bibimbap, the fried chicken & kimchi was very good but the rest of the dish was very bland, the egg yolk was fully cooked & my food was cold. My boyfriend's fried chicken was good but extremely salty & my sister in law's tofu was still frozen when she got it. The udon curry plate was delicious though! The staff is also very friendly & restaurant has a nice ambiance!Voir plus
We came here for a weekend Montreal trip & I was excited to try a good Korean restaurant, & this one had lots of good reviews. IT IS JUST AS GOOD AS THE REVIEWS SAY. Their rosé sauce is unbelievable. It is the best rosé sauce I have tasted in my life. Their bibimbap & fried chicken were also REALLY good-this is the kind of restaurant where you can't decide what to get because you know everything will be equally tasty!!! We even came back a second time the next day & the owner was also super friendly. I genuinely cannot recommend this restaurant enough for the food, & the vibes were great too.Voir plus
Sam Cha is a solid choice for anyone craving Korean food. The bibimbap is especially good-well-balanced, with fresh ingredients & perfectly seasoned.Voir plus
The atmosphere is so cozy & nice. I dined here on a cold & rainy day & the pork soondubu was super comforting. Definitely coming back to try other dishes.Voir plus
Such good food every time! The sweet drinks are also very good. Love the kimchi fries & spicy creamy udons. 😊Voir plus
Sam Cha is a delightful Korean restaurant conveniently situated near Atwater Station. It has a lovely picnic table decor & welcoming ambiance with delicious Korean cuisine! Can't wait to come back & have their Beef Tartare again! We booked a table via Google Maps' reserve feature ahead of time & was reliably given a table when we arrived. The menu is scannable via a QR Code to their menu online. We ordered their Beef Tartare - a standout dish that we recommend. Its exceptional flavours & presentation left a lasting impression. For our main course, we opted for the Korean BBQ for 2, featuring beef ribs grilled at our table via a portable stove top. The set was accompanied by an apple salad & a vegetarian dolsot bibimbap. As of Sep 2024, the table top BBQ is not part of the menu any longer. We were also impressed by the attentive & efficient service that made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Staff would occasionally check in on our table & ensure our grill was working & food was being cooked & flipped. Additionally, the staff seamlessly accommodated both English & French speakers which was a great experience. Sam Cha conveniently accepts cash & credit payments.Voir plus
Kimchi fries are amazing & the service is good tooVoir plus
King of Bibimbap! My wife really enjoys their "kimchi poutine". We also tried the table side Korean bbq. Which was awesome. Prices are very fair. Service can be a little bad especially once the place fills up... & it fills up fast! My suggestion to guarantee a spot, arrive 10 minutes before opening time & wait outside. If your more than 10 minutes lates, theres a possibility that you wait outside for the better part of an hour. Fair warning it's a little cramped inside. But the food makes up for it.Voir plus
