Salsathèque Montreal Restaurant: Menu, Reviews & Reserve (2026)
SpanishBar

Review Summary

Reviews of Salsathèque present a mixed picture: some describe a rundown venue with old disco vibes, a steep cover, occasionally unfriendly service, and subpar toilets, while others praise the dancing atmosphere, a crowd that shifts by night, and energy on the floor, noting that the music can be great for dancing even if it lacks a pure salsa or Latin focus. The main draw seems to be the vibe and the dance experience, with booth seating and reasonable bottle prices for groups cited as positives, and staff and security described as friendly and attentive by some. However, other critiques point to expensive near the dance floor, long lines or crowded spaces, decor that feels dated or resort-like, and a de-emphasis on authentic Latin sounds in favor of a broader club mix. Overall, Salsathèque is viewed as a club with strong music and potential for a lively night, especially for dancers, but experiences vary widely in terms of music style, service, and value.

I've been to Salsathèque a few times with my girlfriend since we started clubbing. The place is pretty rundown & gives old disco vibes. There's a $12 cover that includes nothing, & the toilets are awful.

We keep going back because the music is great. The crowd changes depending on the night - sometimes it's young, sometimes older with people who really know how to dance, which we enjoy more. What's nice is that people actually go there to dance, so you can just enjoy yourself.

Bottle prices are good & worth it if you're with a group, since you also get a booth to sit at (something you don't get with single drinks).

Overall, it's not about the looks, but the music & vibe make it worth it.

I was hoping for more salsa & Latin dance music, but it was really just another club with a Latin touch to their DJ beats. Not what I was looking for.
If you're just looking to dance & aren't picky on music style, you should have a good time. Although the dance floor was a bit on the small side.

This club really surpassed my expectations!

I enjoyed the'ambience' that both the staff & customers provided to the club, so much, that I wish I could work for them!

It is by far the best place I have frequented in Montréal city thus far.

You will find amazing customer service full of smiles, respect & genuine kindness. They are the definition of'not judging a book by its cover'.

If you are looking for an amazing time, a genuine feel good vibe & open minded people then I highly suggest the Salsatech night club.

Loved the place. Amazing prices, great staff. The service was very impeccable. The doormen & security was top notch & very kind & respectful.

The main server (A respectable man in a white shirt & tie with black goatee & black slicked back hair) gave me & my girls amazing service, by far the best I have gotten in a long time. He even went to the convenience store to get us something! Talk about a A1 service!!!

Everyone was smiling & even the owner would come out & talk to us.

This club is by far the best dance club in the city!

I highly suggest it!

There was a 12.5 dollar charge at the entrance (card &/or cash) & another 3 dollars for a coat check (cash only). The decor was nice, felt like you were in a resort in the south. The prices of drinks were standard club prices. I would recommend this place if you are into salsa & some reggaeton.
