Salsathèque Montreal Restaurant: Menu, Reviews & Reserve (2026)
SpanishBar

Review Summary

Reviews describe Salsathèque as a dance focused venue with a strong music vibe and a crowd that actually dances, making it worth it for those who want to move. Positive notes include affordable drinks, group booth seating, friendly staff and some excellent service from doormen and servers; the atmosphere and music are repeatedly praised and many say the club offers a genuine feel good vibe. On the downside, some reviews flag a rundown space with old disco vibes and toilets that are not pleasant, plus incidents of rude service, a sometimes problematic security presence, and moments when the DJ or crowd connection falls short. There are also concerns about extra charges for entry or coat checks, and at times the mix of salsa and Latin sounds does not fully satisfy expectations, though others still find the night lively and welcoming.

I've been to Salsathèque a few times with my girlfriend since we started clubbing. The place is pretty rundown & gives old disco vibes. There's a $12 cover that includes nothing, & the toilets are awful.

We keep going back because the music is great. The crowd changes depending on the night - sometimes it's young, sometimes older with people who really know how to dance, which we enjoy more. What's nice is that people actually go there to dance, so you can just enjoy yourself.

Bottle prices are good & worth it if you're with a group, since you also get a booth to sit at (something you don't get with single drinks).

Overall, it's not about the looks, but the music & vibe make it worth it.

I was there on Valentine's Day. The only good thing is that I was with the woman who takes away my sleep. They charge cover, for storing the clothes. A bottle of vodka 138 CAD.

I also drank Brugal rum. Batman made an effort to attend well.

But the atmosphere is bad, there are some birds going for the tables to take out the women. As if it were a brothel. Do we consume more than 300 dollars for this to happen? The music does not agree with the name, it should be called'Regenoteque'.

That's all.
