Best Indian food with very warm hospitality perfect Indian atmosphere.
If you're in Montreal & crave for authentic Indian food, Sahib is the place to visit. The chicken chilli chowrangi is a must have. Their butter chicken & prawns masala balti was exceptional as well. Don't miss their butter garlic naan! Five stars overall, but the only reason I have taken one star off is their their portion sizes are ridiculously tiny for the price. Really wish they had atleast 30-40% bigger portions.
Nice hidden Indian restaurant just south of YUL airport in Dorval. Easy to walk to if you have time, weather permitting. Good food selection & quiet atmosphere along with prompt service. Will continue visiting.
Very good typical Indian food, generous menu, great asset for the Dorval village
We were a group of 6 people last Saturday & my husband & I first time. WOW what a great place‼️ The food was delicious & fresh. My husband is Portuguese & I am Italian. We are very picky. Best Indian Restaurant we've ever been. The service was great too. Always to help & serve us. Timing of serving the food impeccable too. Definitely we will go back Many thanks to the owner who took the time to speak to us many times over. Also explains the dishes & made recommendations which we all appreciated. Thanks to staff too who are very friendly. ❤️❤️❤️
Anyone landing or staying near YUL airport & craving EXCELLENT Indian food, Sahib is the place to go. Only 8 minutes from YUL airport. Had Dal Makni, Rice, Butter Nan & Dhai Puri.
Pop music for an Indian restaurant Service delivered by rookie personel ! Excellent food though
The food here is really amazing. Incredibly flavourful & good portions. The interior is attractive & there's a nice patio. All in all a great dining experience. One of the best Indian restaurants in the city.
The buddy that I went to this restaurant with had picked it & I know sahib in the West Island but this one was in dorval. He told me the story why it was created cuz the West Island one was losing its lease so they got this place. Then the lease peoples decided to allow them to stay on. The best feature was some music playing in the background, though not in flavor of the food being Indian. I would have expected some sitar & lightweight Indian sounding music. Best feature? Four young charming waitresses that were almost flirting with us. I'd say. Either that or we're just very charming & they couldn't resist which I doubt very much. Hahaha the food was okay. The cheese dessert was so thick that it was heavyweight & & the parts of the other foods were actually heavyweight as well. Although the spicings were well done, I didn't expect for the food to fill so heavy & thick at least the various items. Overall the food was okay I'd say maybe just under four out of five cuz the flavors were good & they turned the lights down. They dropped the electronic shades cuz the sun was burning my eyes & it became evening as we finished our supper. I'd say for the meal it was overpriced. 90 bucks for one beer, a main course & a dessert? The charm of the waitresses made it palatable & the seasonings were good but having food. That's high density cheese as a dessert. & sure I thought it was some thing like the guy stuffed a lot of ghee in it or something. It wasn't a refined meal & for that price & setting & delivery I thought it would be more refined. However, as overpriced as it was, I feel for what we got, the service was great. The music in the background okay & the way they set up the restaurant was quite reasonable. Back to the waitresses... they made the difference. Otherwise with the price & the heaviness of the food, I would give it a lower ranking. Thank goodness for the waitresses. .
Great food & friendly staff. This is by far my favorite Indian cuisine in Montreal
Fantastic food! Having spent a lifetime of cooking & eating Indian food, studying it, travelling to India, & living in London for many years, where Indian restaurants are probably the most common place to dine out, I was delighted to find such an amazing restaurant right here in Dorval. Familiar but fresh flavours, authentic dishes on a varied menu which includes old favorites like Vindaloo, Madras & Jalfrezi, but also some bold chinese/India fusion options (very trendy in India right now). The food was truly excellent (try the dahi puri starter for an explosion of fresh, spicy flavor), served in a comfortable & lovely ambiance. Service was friendly & perhaps a little slow, but they were very busy, & the food was still fast to come out of the kitchen. They also have Cobra beer on tap! Which if you are nostalgic about Indian restaurants in the UK will be a draw card for you. Prices really quite reasonable. Can't recommend highly enough! Go there.
First time at the new location & Sahib does not disappoint. The menu appears to be unchanged. King Cobra IPA was excellent. The salmon Tikka (my favourite) was exquisite, as was the butter chicken & the lentil soup. Still some of the best Indian food in the city.
I am on visitor visa here & came here to see my students all over canada. I visited Calgary, Surrey, Vancouver, Abbotsford, mississauga, Toronto, hamilton & brampton, but the food I had at your restaurant was fantastic. I am surely gonna recommend my students to visit your restaurant & enjoy the taste. The indian girl served us so nicely. Thanks her for the hospitality that she showed us. God bless her. Must visit restaurant
Love the new location in Dorval, don't have to travel too far for our favourite Indian food in the west island!
We had dinner here for my friend's mother's birthday. The food was phenomenal. Great taste, some people have mentioned small portion sizes but I don't believe that to be true. I think the portions were fair for authentic indian food. The atmosphere & decor is beautiful & classy. The staff were polite & attentive. The only issue I had is that we had a reservation for 5pm & at 6:40pm the bill was brought to us with our desserts & coffees...We ordered many items, our bill amounted to a little over 300$ plus tip. (We were 6 adults & a baby). I don't feel its fair to ask that we free the table after only an hour & 40 minutes. We felt rushed through desserts & coffee in order to vacate the table. At the very least we should have been warned in advance that there was a time limit on our table as there are other restaurants in the west island that have such policies (Escondite for example). That is my only complaint. Otherwise, a great restaurant. We will likely return & give them another try. :)
I come to Montreal from Florida once a year for skiing, & I always make it a point of having dinner at Sahib. Even though I am only there once a year, the staff & owner Rajiv make me feel like a regular. The food is exceptional & the atmosphere is very warm & I would highly recommend Sahib to anyone looking for an excellent Indian meal
We were a group of 7 & food was delicious & this is coming from someone who usually hates Indian food.
