Sabrosa is by far the best restaurant at Place Jacques-Cartier. The location is prime, & the food was outstanding. The salads & ceviche were incredibly fresh & flavorful, & the tacos were delicious as well. The service was warm, attentive, & efficient. Highly recommended!View more

One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! We ordered quite a few different things including fish tacos, green papaya salad, shrimp ceviche, guacamole, etc & everything was not only explosively delicious but also beautifully made. This would make a wonderful spot for lunch dates (when our family ate there for lunch yesterday). Vibes there are amazing & the service was excellent. 5/5 easily!View more

We had the lunch special that allowed you to pick two-three different dishes for three courses. Overall the food was very good like the shrimp ceviche & birria tacos. The churros for dessert felt a bit undercooked as the middle wasn't crunchy. I went here VERY skeptical. Mexican food in Canada? In a super touristy area? C'mon. But, the food was great! Very fresh ingredients & vibrant flavors. I had the shrimp ceviche & Sabrosa kale salad with a glass of orange wine. I enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was cosy yet modern. Service was warm & attentive. This is a lovely spot to stop for a meal while in the main shopping area of Old Montreal.View more

On est aller souper un samedi soir bien occupée, le service était super bien courtois. La présentation des assiettes vraiment belle. On a pris le "ceviche" & le tiradito en entré. Le "ceviche" est super bon bien que pas un ceviche traditionnelle. Les sashimi est super bon, les patates grillés donne une bonne texture. On a pris deux cocktail, espresso martini Sabrosa(super bon) & un Abacaxis, je l'ai trouver trop salé & fort au goût. On a partager le loup de mer en repas principal. Très bon poissons & les sauce de piments accompagne très bien. & pour finir les desserts un petit gâteau a la vanille avec une glace a la mangue & une terrine de chocolat. Assiette super cute & tres bon aussi. Le latte est très bon 👌🏼 Belle expérience dans une soirée bien occupée.View more

We loved our experience at Sabrosa! It was a hot & humid evening in Montreal so we chose indoor seating with air conditioning. We were attended to immediately (thank you Nabos & Leo!) & while it wasn't on the cocktail menu, they made me a frozen strawberry daiquiri upon request. It wasn't what I expected, given how they are in the US, but it was honestly BETTER! After three days in Montreal, I finally had a delicious drink. We ordered appetizers, a tuna ceviche that was crazy tasty, & grilled corn on the cob which was good but I was too busy eating every last morsel from the ceviche to really care. For our entrees, my husband got the beef tacos with pineapple & I ordered the chicken enchiladas, & I think my comment to him at the end of the meal, when I said "I freakin' loved every sip & every bite of what we had here", sums it up. As a side note, another patron near us spilled her glass of red wine (on to her pretty, white skirt) & multiple servers came to help her, cleaning up the table & floor & doing so in such a friendly way. On the other side of us was a family of three, the toddler being probably two. While he howled about something (like little kids do, no judgement here!!), one of the servers & I chatted about how someone was clearly very sad. He very funnily commented that it definitely wasn't due to the food. I was super impressed with everything, start to finish, from drinks to food to service to atmosphere. If I didn't live four hours away, I would come here often!!View more

Amazing restaurant!! Had a great selection of menu options! Had a fabulous drink served in a cactus cup! I ordered the enchiladas with a few tapas like the corn, ceviche, fries, & rice & beans! We loved our dinner here! Food was amazing & light but filling! We started with the shrimp ceviche & corn on the cob & I then got tacos Al pastor which were so tasty. Ismail, our server, made the experience even better. He was extremely knowledgeable of the menu & food, & ensured that we all got drinks that we were happy with! One of the best meals I've had in recent memory! Great location right in Old Port, the terrace was absolutely lovely & not too hot, & our server Ismail (spelling?) was phenomenal - made great drink recommendations, was prompt & accurate, had excellent knowledge of the menu, & was an absolute delight to chat with! We got the ceviche, birria tacos, corn, & green papaya salad, & everything was incredible. Definitely on the pricier side but I was pleasantly surprised by how filling the food was - especially the tacos. We were really impressed. Staff was friendly, menu was really well thought out, made me want to try everything. Food was amazing. The ceviche was exquisite, (I'll admit I had to remove the chile slices because it's was a little too spicy for me). Very well balanced & tasty. Birria tacos were excellent as well, a lot of flavour, everything was well balanced. A very well executed taco. But the knockout was the pastor tacos, they were absolutely dripping with flavour. So delicious!, we all tried it & it was everyone's favorite. The passion fruit lemonade was really tasty, & just acidic enough to taste the passion fruit. I recently visited a Mexican restaurant that had an amazing cocktail called "Como la flor". It was made with white rum, coconut rum, lavanda & lime, & it tasted great! The green papaya salad was also very tasty, & the shrimp ceviche was delicious & full of flavor. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. All in all, I had a great experience at this restaurant & I would definitely recommend it to others.View more
