Sabrosa is described as a lively, well located spot in Old Montreal offering Mexican and Latin street food with a warm, festive vibe and a pleasant outdoor terrace. The reviews praise freshness and flavor across the menu, with standout dishes including birria tacos, Al Pastor tacos, fish and shrimp tacos, ceviche, guacamole, papaya salad, and corn on the cob, along with house hot sauces and generous portions; drinks are generally tasty though not always standout, and some guests find them decent value for the location. Service is often noted as friendly, attentive, and efficient, with some servers earning special praise, while a few visits mention slower service during busy times or occasional inconsistencies in execution. The atmosphere, decor, and opportunity for people watching are repeatedly highlighted as positives, making Sabrosa feel like a go to option for a relaxed lunch or dinner; a few comments point to a touristy vibe and price considerations, but overall the place is viewed as a solid choice with high memories of flavor and a lively setting.
We stopped in for lunch & dicovered our new favorite go to restaurant. Everything we ate & drank was absolutely wonderful. The service was fabulous. Bravo!!
One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! We ordered quite a few different things including fish tacos, green papaya salad, shrimp ceviche, guacamole, etc & everything was not only explosively delicious but also beautifully made. This would make a wonderful spot for lunch dates (when our family ate there for lunch yesterday). Vibes there are amazing & the service was excellent. 5/5 easily!
Avoid old Montréal restaurants if you want to eat more but less care about the fancy meals. Go to new Montreal (the city) instead. Portion is very small than expected. But great quality & taste. Customer service is very good too.
We had the lunch special that allowed you to pick two-three different dishes for three courses. Overall the food was very good like the shrimp ceviche & birria tacos. The churros for dessert felt a bit undercooked as the middle wasn't crunchy. We did have to wait almost an hour after our appetizer had arrive but apparently it was due to a huge group that came in before us
Albacore tostada & Shrimp Ceviche for apps & al pastor tacos, fish tacos, with a side of rice & beans for dinner! Drinks were delish (bloody samaritan, the chàvez, & 123 soleil). They happily substituted gin for vodka in the 123 soleil!

It feels like stepping into the calming ambiance of a YouTube ASMR video, perfectly complemented by top-notch hospitality. The staff is incredibly attentive & ensures every detail is taken care of with care & professionalism. I'll definitely be returning again & again. The menu may be small, but you can truly appreciate the effort put into every dish.
I was so lucky to accidentally pass by this Mexican gem in the Old Port! Their 17:00-19:00 half-price margaritas were such a great find. I also ordered nachos, & the guacamole was amazing-so fresh & flavorful. The highlight for me was the fried calamari-it was so freaking delicious! Their prices are super reasonable, & the service is incredibly friendly. I felt so welcome throughout my visit. I can't wait to go back & try their main dishes. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area!

Sabrosa is a true delight! The ambiance is warm & inviting, with a perfect mix of cozy & modern vibes. The food was absolutely outstanding - each dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, & cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive & friendly, making sure we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. You can really tell that everything is prepared with love & attention to detail. Highly recommend Sabrosa if you're looking for a memorable meal - it's worth every penny! Can't wait to come back!
Visited this restaurant in Montreal while in from Toronto, & it was such a great find! The food was delicious, with unique flavors that made every dish stand out. The ambiance was warm & inviting, & the staff were so friendly & attentive. It truly made my trip memorable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Montreal!
Amazing service by Carlito & his staff. I reached out to book a group event & he took care of literally everything. Food was amazing, staff was amazing, Carlito made sure that everybody enjoyed their night, was able to accomodate the allergies, the intolerance or the special diet. It was a perfect night. I truly recommand the Sabrosa to anyone who wants to enjoy a good meal, or to groups that want to get together in a great spot. 10/10.
We found ourselves in this restaurant by random circumstances & ended up being delighted of the experience!! We were served by Tammara & she was perfect ! The food was amazing we ended up ordering half the menu !! The simple touches of flowers on the tables, the attention to details from the staff , that for me is what makes an experience unforgettable.
I went here VERY skeptical. Mexican food in Canada? In a super touristy area? C'mon. But, the food was great! Very fresh ingredients & vibrant flavors. I had the shrimp ceviche & Sabrosa kale salad with a glass of orange wine. I enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was cosy yet modern. Service was warm & attentive. This is a lovely spot to stop for a meal while in the main shopping area of Old Montreal.
