Sabrosa is described as a lively, well located spot in Old Montreal offering Mexican and Latin street food with a warm, festive vibe and a pleasant outdoor terrace. The reviews praise freshness and flavor across the menu, with standout dishes including birria tacos, Al Pastor tacos, fish and shrimp tacos, ceviche, guacamole, papaya salad, and corn on the cob, along with house hot sauces and generous portions; drinks are generally tasty though not always standout, and some guests find them decent value for the location. Service is often noted as friendly, attentive, and efficient, with some servers earning special praise, while a few visits mention slower service during busy times or occasional inconsistencies in execution. The atmosphere, decor, and opportunity for people watching are repeatedly highlighted as positives, making Sabrosa feel like a go to option for a relaxed lunch or dinner; a few comments point to a touristy vibe and price considerations, but overall the place is viewed as a solid choice with high memories of flavor and a lively setting.
I give it 2 star only for it's friendly staff. Beef taco & bean/rice I had was awful 😖 it was too oily & not tasting good 😑 I spent 40 cad but really did not worth it.. I hope they improve
They were out of guacamole & dos equis at 8.15pm, which we found hilarious for a "latin american" restaurant. Also the *two* churros for dessert were quite surprising!
The veggie tacos were yumm!! We wanted to have something light for two people & they added an extra taco the order & it was a comfort dinner! It was 12 deg C & freezing, so sat on the corner with heater! Very nice experience. My friend ordered fish tacos & some drinks & she loved them too.
Sabrosa is a lovely restaurant located in the heart of Old Montreal, we enjoyed our meals & drinks, Natalia & Tom was very helpful & super kind, Natalia even put my phone to charge. Definitely recommend this place!
Bonjour, Parisiens de passage à Montréal, avons déjeuné par hasard, attirés par la terrasse & les plats servis! Nous avons été ravis par l'accueil & le service de TOM que nous y sommes retournés . A recommander chaudement! Bravo! pour les tacos au poulet frit & le gâteau à l'orange & rhum sans oublier les mocktails.

I tried few dishes here, corns, vegan tacos, guacamole, fries. Everything was amazing with good atmosphere & vibes of old Montreal was amazing. I recommend this place for good Mexican food in Montreal.
We were greeted by Natalia & right from the first moment Natalia was very friendly & accommodating with our seating preference. Leo served us & he was also a pleasure to meet. The service was excellent & attentive which we really appreciated. Even the bus staff were cheerful & friendly. We had a great evening & would recommend without hesitation

Had cocktails & tacos after days of French food. The food was a delicious & drinks refreshing - especially in a cactus cup! Service was prompt & friendly. Accommodated our pick kids with no onions or cilantro. The sunny weather made our time on the patio even better. Would definitely come again!
We ordered a salad, El Pastor, calamari, a mojito & beers. I gave 2 stars because on average the waiter & waitresses were polite. The El pastor was very oily that they dripped & I had to ask for extra napkins. The salad was super salty & I complained to my main waiter & he said he never heard that before. I complained to another waitress & she asked me if the service was good & I said sure but the salad is very salty & her response was at least the service was good. I said you know what it's okay & I paid & tipped them 20% & left. The salad was so salty that it was not edible. So they took back the full plate of salad. It seemed the oily El pastor gave me serious indigestion & I didn't sleep well that evening. Please speak with the chef & have him improve the menu because the reception is really good with the young Brazilian friendly girl. Maybe contact Gordon Ramzie before your restaurant becomes a kitchen nightmare. I will not complain about the super small servicing of calamari.
