Afficher toutburger(90) banana(22) fries(22) pudding(21) chicken(18) smash burger(15) fresh(9) milkshake(8) rosie's(8) sauce(7) tasty(7) juicy(7)The Rosie Smashburger is soo good. The bun is buttery & pattys are juicy. I found the double patty Rosie burger very filling alone. We also ordered their half onion rings & half fries, very good too. They were soft & thick. I dont know any other place that does these kinds of fries so, it was a good change. We also had their chocolate milkshake & that, that was delicious. It was very velvety & we loved it. It was made with 2% milk & the chocolate taste was so rich. Their burgers are obviously pricey but I would pay for their burgers. The place also has high chairs against the walls, not many though & it would be better to take out.
Honestly, the videos ive seen online made me think that the people may have been paid to say all the good things they said, but today I was proven wrong.
I went with the BBQ burger combo with onion rings, The Rosie combo with fries, a spicy chicken sandwich as well as a honey mustard dip & a buttermilk ranch dip.
The meal was nothing short of freakin' delicious. The only flaw I could find was in the spicy chicken sandwich. It felt like it didn't have as much going for it like the other 2 burgers did.
The meat inside of The Rosie & the BBQ burger was juicy & well seasoned. The Rosie sauce had a strong impact on the flavors. The American cheese they use accentuates everything to create a perfect burger. The BBQ, in my opinion was just a little overpowering, but otherwise, nothing wrong with it.
Afterwards, I got a banana pudding & an oreo milkshake. The banana pudding was, as advertised, banana pudding. It tasted great & the most important part was that it wasn't too sweet. As someone who doesnt like bananas, this was very pleasant. The banana pieces, the graham crumbs & the pudding itself complemented eachother well & brought it all together.
The oreo (cookies & cream) shake was also good. It was a bit sweeter & some oreo chunks were stuck on the bottom of the cup, which I had just a bit of trouble getting.
Overall, Rosie's burgers is a great burger joint. From the food to the desserts, everything was just about perfect. Of course, the food is just a tad pricey but I find that it was worth it.
Around $80-ish was spent today.
I also have a peanut allergy & what I tried today had none of it. :)
PS. Try the buttermilk ranch. Its great.
Definitely coming back to try a milkshake. I loved the burger & banana pudding !
Rosie was exactly what we were hoping for. We came in wanting a great smash burger, & not only did we get one, but we also had the pleasure of meeting an amazing manager, a great dad, & overall a genuinely great person.
Al was incredible. The service was excellent, he was super patient, & it's clear how passionate he is about the business & the experience he gives his customers.
The smash burger was absolutely smashing, the fries were A1, & the milkshake & banana pudding… wow. So, so good.
Highly recommend this place.
Tim
While the burgers & milkshakes are good & the fries are decent, the space is cramped & the music is much too loud.
The chicken burger was decent. Not the best one I had though.
The patty had a smell I didn't appreciate.
The poutine was ok.
According to everyone, the milkshakes were the best milkshake ever!
The service was great & fast.
after a solid week of seeing it all over our feeds, we had to go for ourselves.
Naturally, we tried to get a little bit of everything.
We started with Le Party Burger, because we are always down for a good time. It was very good-a well-executed smash burger with all the crispy-edged, juicy goodness you'd expect. The only thing is… it's not exactly reinventing the smash burger. We've had this style before, & honestly it's almost identical to several others we've tried. Still delicious though.
On the sides front: the poutine was decent, despite being made with crinkle fries. (-1 for the wrong fries) The onion rings were enormous & pretty great.
We had to have a strawberry milkshake with all this. It was basically liquid strawberry ice cream. Not a bad thing at all-we loved it-but it was so thick we nearly pulled a jaw muscle trying to get it through the straw.
So, the burgers themselves are good. Very good, even. But in a city already swimming in smash burgers, they don't quite rise above the crowd.
However.
They do have one thing that absolutely makes this place worth the trip: the Banana Pudding.
Holy crap.
That stuff is incredible. Made fresh right there & topped with a delicious crumble. Creamy, sweet, & dangerously easy to consume. I would eat that for breakfast, lunch, & dinner without hesitation.
In fact, we'd go back just for that.
Burgers: solid.
Sides: respectable.
Banana pudding: life-changing.
Curious to try, & for sure first day of operations wasn't the ideal. But overall good but I just pwrsonnaly find it's just another burger joint in the several we have in town. More of the same concept. Fries were good, Meat was good - a bit on the harder side, but tasty. Bread was delicious & not soggy so perfect. Onions rings delicious, & chicken burger tasted a lot to onions - I assume they fry in the same fryer. Milkshake ok, not my favorite. Definitely a good option for a smashed burger!
