It used to be one of my top regular spots ages ago, but the quality of their chicken seems to have severely downgraded!

Their signature Portuguese dessert is still on point though!

This place used to be amazing, but since the change in ownership, the quality has declined dramatically. It's almost unrecognizable now. The sauce was mediocre, & the chicken was incredibly dry. Very disappointing.

I won't be coming back, especially since there are so many excellent Portuguese chicken restaurants in the neighbourhood. It's a real shame because this used to be one of the best -arguably the best- Portuguese chicken spots around.

I genuinely hope they can return to the quality that made them so special.

Romados offre une nourriture délicieuse avec des portions généreuses, ainsi qu'un grand choix de desserts. Tout était savoureux & copieux. Mon seul bémol est le prix, qui est assez élevé pour une poutine. À part ça, c'est une excellente adresse que je recommande. (Généralement c'est pour emporter)

Romados is one of the best spots in Montreal for Portuguese rotisserie chicken.

The chicken is always juicy, tender, & packed with smoky, garlicky flavor, with crispy skin that's perfectly seasoned. What makes it special is how it captures the essence of Portuguese cuisine-simple, bold, & comforting, with the rich taste of garlic, paprika, herbs, olive oil, & a touch of citrus that lets the quality of the ingredients shine.

The portions are generous, the prices are fair, & the service is quick, even when it's busy. If you're looking for authentic Portuguese cuisine that delivers incredible flavor in every bite, Romados is absolutely worth a visit. Next time I'm here, I have to try their poutine - I've heard great things about it!

My husband & I used to eat here weekly (20 years ago). Food is still great but the vibe of the place isn't the same. Service was great. They keep the space very clean. No AC… but we had a good time.
