I picky on food so no surprise on 4 for food. Sons steak write was overcooked but he only said after half done. Besides that portion size & quality were good. It's mid Feb so actually no need for reservations. They say next month will have lines

Service à la clientèle d excellente qualité depuis que Monsieur Koffy est devenu gérant.
L accueil a fait un bond en avant formidable & la nourriture y est très bonne.
Nous avons été super bien servi.
Cela faisait 3 ans que je n allais plus dans ce resto. Félicitations à Koffy & à toute son équipe pour ce renouveau tant attendu.
I don't know what they do to their fries. But I'm obsessed. Best fries I have had in a long time. The waitress we had was also a gem, super friendly. Not the fanciest Montreal restaurant, but I was not disappointed by my experience. They deal really well with a busy night.
I came to eat last night before going to Festilumi around 6:30.
The dining room was full, & the waitress was alone. She didn't come to ask if the food was good, & the service was very slow, both before we were seen & when we received the bill.
Other than that the food was good.
The food has gotten better, which I am really happy about. It is a nice spot to have a nice meal & read a book. Only thing is some of the staff can be quite immature: hearing them holler as if they in a school cafeteria talking mess about some of the patrons is quite off-putting. A customer service training reminder would be helpful for these young, Gen Y staffers... Life is not a social media platform where you can be belligerent with no consequences.
