We visited Roasters BBQ Grill & Bar at Marché Central & ordered a decent variety: the Hot Lips burger (with sweet potato fries), a fried chicken burger with regular fries, a teriyaki salmon wrap, mac n cheese, a quarter chicken, a cappuccino, & a brownie cake with ice cream for dessert.
Unfortunately, the experience landed somewhere in the middle, & it's a noticeable drop from what I remember. I used to have very good quality meals here, but something has clearly changed over the last decade - the food & service just aren't what they used to be. Service was slow this visit - noticeably longer wait times than expected for both being seated & having food arrive. Food quality was inconsistent for the price point, & flavor was a bigger issue than expected: the Hot Lips burger, despite being recommended by our waitress as spicy, had no real heat or kick to it. The fried chicken burger's spicy mayo was underwhelming too, lacking any real spice. Across the board, the food came out bland & forgettable.
Dessert & coffee were also average. The cappuccino wasn't executed properly - it came out watery, far from what a real cappuccino should be. The brownie cake with ice cream tasted overly sweet & commercial, more like an industrial, mass-produced dessert than something made in-house.
Nothing here was outright poor, & the variety on the menu (BBQ, burgers, seafood wraps, comfort food) makes it a reasonable option if you're in the Marché Central area with a group wanting different things. But between the bland flavors, slow service, underwhelming coffee & dessert, & the noticeable decline in quality from years past, it didn't live up to what this place used to be.
3/5 - decent variety & nothing offensive, but bland execution, slow service, & a quality drop from what I remember hold it back.
We gave it 3 shots before posting this review, & we had the same issue each time. Service is decent, staff is welcoming & easy to talk to.
Wait time to sit is okay even when it was busy. Music & all the vibes in general are okay, easy to hear your party at the table. What makes that review 2 stars is the food. The First two times the food was disappointing, but the 3rd time, we ordered the roasters burger which was okay, & the mac & cheese dish with shrimps & chicken. The taste was good, we enjoyed it until the last quarter of the plate where i scooped a spoon-full of macaroni, chicken & plenty of sauce & i bit into a bone & a plastic curved piece attached to it. That dish was shown to the staff & was not removed from the bill, our server apologized & we left it to that.
We came to Roasters after visiting the Festilumi event. We were seated right away, but it took about 10mins before the waitress came to take our order. It WAS busy because there was a large group dining in this section around 7:30pm. Ambiance is nice. We ordered some mocktails & fried calamari. The calamari was some of the best I have ever had. Fish & chips had big portions of fish, not slimy, nice & crunchy, fries were tasty. The rib burger was very good. The 8oz steak & side of Mac & cheese was very tasty. The only complaint was the timing for service. We noticed a manager was helping to expedite orders.. he served us more than the waitress did. After the meal was finished, I caught our server to mention we were ready for our bill, after 15mins, we had no sign of her, I waited next to the kitchen entrance about 5 mins for someone to notice me so that I could ask for the bill again, which was brought by the manager.
If I am back again in this area, I might dine here again, but in the bar section instead.

J'ai été pour la fête d'un ami d'enfance, & j'ai vraiment adoré! Margot est une serveuse géniale & vraiment merveilleuse, elle nous a vraiment gâté & amusé ce soirée là! Mais la bouffe, délicieux à souhait ! Dessert, insane ! Poutine au poulet tendre, vraiment bon! Mac n cheese, vraiment crémeux ! Les portions sont généreuse & abordable! Merci infiniment! C'était ma première fois, mais loin d'être la dernière! 🤩 Merci pour tout!❤?
So I came here a few weeks ago with a friend , & it was amazing, service & food just perfect I came back a week ago & service was terrible, food still amazing, I was like we probably just fell on a slow day, I came back today , service was worse, but the food is on point, like price to value hard to beat, the few times we went this is what we ate, chicken tenders crispy & juicy (dijon amazing), nachos, spice chicken wrap , & shrimp-goat cheese salad, 5* food, 1* service so I gave it a 3 average, but if you don't care for speedy service this is a great spot
Le mac n cheese aux crevettes & bacon était correct, pas wow mais le fromage brie était délicieux! Les nachos garnis de chili sont des excellents snacks, par contre je trouve que la portion de guacamole pour 3$ est petite surtout que ça vient en extra pour les nachos. La patate au four garnie était brûlée de l’extérieur…Sinon, j’aime bien leurs drinks.
Last minute decision to go have dinner here last night with a friend of mine, was my first time eating at a Roasters & I was not disappointed! We shared an appetizers of calamari, very good & crispy. My friend had a rack of ribs with mac & cheese & said it was very good. I tried his mac & cheese & I liked it as well. I had the oriental salad with shrimps & I really loved it, ate the whole thing which is rare for me, I usually leave something in the plate lol he had a brownie for dessert & I had the red velvet cheesecake, huge pieces for both & taste was good as well. The waitress (Tania) & service was great. She was very nice & was honest in answering my questions. The resto itself is very nice. I'd go back.
Nous avons ete servi dans un delai raisonnable. Nous avons commandé l'entrée des 3 mini burgers au porc effiloché, succulent !! Bonne selection de repas pour enfant, on a commandé les tendres de poulet, qui étaient legerement pannés & réelement tendres. Mon neveu a commandé le cheese burger qui etait gigantesque accompagné d'une grosse patate au four. Les petites frites sont vraiment bonnes aussi. Le repas de poulet etait bien cuit. Les prix sont quand meme assez raisonnable. Une rotisserie de haut de gamme !
