Edit: I went back & it was a much better experience. I tried their Caesar salad & Tagliatelle al Funghi & they were both very good. I was too afraid to try their Cacio e Pepe again, I hope it has improved. The restaurant seems to care about the overall experience & the servers are very nice so it's worth trying again.

Original post: Beautiful restaurant, which has put a lot of thought into the ambiance & the decor. The rosé wine was lovely, but the Cacio e Pepe should be removed from the menu. It was terrible.

This was my second visit to Il Teatro, & overall I had another very good experience. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere-elegant, warm & visually stunning-& the food was very good. They also have an excellent wine selection.

The bar staff have been a highlight on both of my visits. They've consistently been welcoming, attentive & knowledgeable about the products they're serving, which really adds to the experience.

During my first visit, I felt the hostess was a little too focused on her phone rather than the guests waiting in front of her. She was there again during this visit, but thankfully the interaction was much better this time.

Overall, Il Teatro is a beautiful spot with good food, great drinks & a wonderful atmosphere. There's still a little room for improvement when it comes to the front-of-house experience, but I would definitely return.

We came here by chance on a train layover, & stumbled upon one of the best meals we've had in our lives. Absolutely perfect, everything from the focaccia, the appetizer, the mains, kids meals delicious & substantial...& the fixed price lunch made it great value too. Will return one day.

C'est vraiment un plaisir de fréquenter ce restaurant absolument magnifique qui bénéficie d'une excellente cuisine & d'un service attentif... j'ai choisi de dîner au bar... je recommande vivement cette très bonne table qui est un apport vraiment intéressant à la gastronomie Italienne de Montréal depuis son ouverture

Nous avons passé une excellente soirée dans ce restaurant ! C'est la 4eme fois pour ma part & tout était absolument parfait : la nourriture était délicieuse, les plats savoureux & très bien présentés. Mon père a pris la Pizza Fungi aux champignons, qu'il a beaucoup appréciée, tandis que mon mari & moi avons choisi les Linguini Gamberi, qui étaient vraiment excellents ! 🍕🍝🍤

Petite remarque simplement : nous aurions aimé avoir un peu plus de pâtes dans les Linguini Gamberi, car c'était tellement bon qu'on en aurait volontiers mangé davantage 😋.

J'ai aussi été un peu déçue de voir que le risotto alla Sorrentina avait été retiré de la carte 😢 Il était vraiment excellent & faisait partie de mes coups de coeur ! J'espère vraiment le revoir prochainement au menu. ❤?

Amazing experience! Everything was wonderful, & our waitress was so sweet, kind, & attentive. We had such a great time & would definitely come back!
