We are first timers in Montreal & so glad to have dined at Keela last night. Friendly greeting by our host who was very helpful with the menu. Wine list is extensive. We had the roasted shrimp in a spectacular garlic butter spice sauce. Also their celery root carpaccio is a must have signature dish. Beautiful presentation & delicious. For our mains the monkfish special & filet steak frites. Wonderful peppercorn sauce. Fries were so good with a nice mustard dipping sauce. Too full for dessert! We were very well cared for by the entire service team. Keela is a special place! We can't wait to return!

Had an amazing experience at Keela. We were a group of 6 & decided to go family style. Every dish was excellent. The service & staff were knowledgeable, attentive & super fun. Can't wait or go back!
This place is a gem. The food is delicious, wine selection is great too with a nice variety of importations privés. The service is always super friendly & not too in your face. Although they seem to lack of staff like many places now, they try their very best to bring you the best. We are addicted. Try their margarita bread, the roasted shrimps are to die for (!!!) & even the fries are perfect- I personally eat 4-5 fries usually & get bored but these are impossible to let go. Congratulations to this team
Visiting a friend whose favourite restaurant in Montreal is Keela, & I understand why. The food was excellent- standouts were the celery root carpaccio & grilled octopus. The cocktails were well crafted & the wine list was very well curated. The service was warm, & the atmosphere felt casual & welcoming. Such a nice spot, I hope I get to come back next time I'm in Montreal.
We reserved at Keela the same day because the other few restaurants we wanted didn't have availability . We expected pub-like atmosphere but instead the whole experience was sophisticated yet young & convivial. The food was really good & creative but with a homey touch- their celery root salad was amazing, roasted fish was a plate fit for a king, & the Cornish hen took me back to my childhood. Great experience, not forgetting the hosts who were the kindest & most knowledgeable!
Petit resto de quartier bien charmant ! Le service était très sympa. La nourriture super bonne! Nous avons pris les crevettes, quel délice, le pain piri piri est vraiment bon & que dire du carpacio de celeri rave, il fond dans la bouche. Il y avait un guitariste qui ajoutait beaucoup à l'ambiance du resto :)

Good vibe, disappointing food. The piri-piri bread was pretty tasty, & the cocktails were decent, but both our entrees were disappointing. We enjoyed the live music, & the place has a nice "neighborhood bistro" feel. Just wish the food were better.
Okay this is one of the best restaurant experiences i've had in Montréal; the food is absolutely delectable (i had the salmon tartare with shrimp chips as well as the veggie flatbread- only because they were out of their $1 oysters they have every Tuesday) the music & ambiance is top tier & everything is super quick including being acknowledged. Speaking of knowledge, the servers know the menu well & their cocktails. While busy on a tuesday (good sign), Harlen had time to chat with me in between servicing his other tables. 10/10, not only will i be back, I can't believe I haven't been here sooner!
We had an unforgettable meal at Keela. My husband & I shared the celery root carpaccio, salmon tartare, grilled shrimp, & grilled octopus, as well as the carrot cake & the fried dough with nutella (for our kids!). Everything was really excellent- expertly prepared, cooked perfectly. I think the grilled shrimp was our favorite, but the octopus was a close second. Our kids also enjoyed their meals of ribs & a side salad, & the burger with fries. It's not often we can go to a "fine dining" establishment with our kids & we ALL leave happy & full at the end of the night. Keela achieved this beautifully, & the service was friendly & helpful, the ambience was great. I would go back in a heartbeat - can't wait to return to Montreal again!
