Review Summary

Zoelle is described as a vibrant fusion spot offering strong sushi and Mediterranean inspired dishes, with delicious food, beautiful presentation, and fresh flavors. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, with a stylish setting and good music that suit dates, celebrations, or pre show dinners downtown. Service is frequently praised as attentive and knowledgeable, with thoughtful dish and wine recommendations, though a few visits note slower pacing during peak times. Cocktails and desserts receive high marks, and the food overall is highlighted for quality and freshness. Some guests call the pricing upscale and question value, and a few mentions note water charges or menu items not available. Overall Zoelle comes across as a standout Montreal dining destination with refined ambiance, memorable meals, and strong repeat appeal, while a few reviews suggest opportunities to improve consistency and breadth of the menu.

I went today for a professional lunch . From the salad to the dessert . It was all amazing . Honestly I have been in Montreal for 4 years & I find the food quite disappointing but today was an amazing experience. I live nearby & will be coming more often . Our waitress was also very sweet & genuinely nice .

Great restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere. I came for the sushi, but the menu was very limited since they're still working on it. The rib-based steak, though, was excellent, & the homemade fries were also delicious. I tried a fried shrimp maki that was pretty average, but I haven't tried the nigiri yet-so I'd definitely come back to give the sushi a second chance.

Overall, tasty food & worth the visit. I'd love to see a bigger dessert menu in the future.

Had a wonderful meal here last night. The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly. We kept our mains pretty simple & went for steaks, which came with a delicious brown butter gravy. The fries are very crispy & fluffy on the inside. The service was so friendly, albeit a bit slow, but we were not in a rush & they comped us fries & a bonus dessert. Would definitely go back & highly recommend.

The restaurant was spotless, & the ambiance was excellent-warm & inviting.

For the appetizer, we ordered the sea bream, & it was absolutely delicious! The whole fish was expertly sliced into thin pieces & served with a fragrant orange sauce. Even the fish bones were deep-fried & lightly salted, adding a delightful crunch. The presentation was beautiful, & the flavors were incredibly refreshing. We loved it so much that we ended up ordering a second plate!

We also got a dozen oysters, which were incredibly fresh. They were served with diced onions, fish roe, & pickled chili rings-the perfect balance of acidity & spice, enhancing the natural sweetness of the oysters.

The sushi platter came with six pieces for $60. The seasoning was well-executed, the fish was fresh, & the rice was slightly warm, which was a nice touch. However, after having two raw dishes already, I started to feel a bit overwhelmed by this point.

The filet mignon, unfortunately, fell short compared to the earlier dishes. Both the seasoning & the doneness of the steak were underwhelming. On the bright side, the broccolini was a pleasant surprise. The portion was generous for just 14 CAD, & it was well-prepared with great flavor.

Desserts were decent. The tiramisu's cream was not overly sweet, which I appreciated. If only the choux pastry had been crisp! The yogurt was also unsweetened, & honestly, for a dessert in North America that isn't overly sugary, I'd already consider it a win.

Will visit again!
