Wish we had this at home! Our server was awesome, explained everything so well, & made recommendations for wine. Two thumbs up!View more
The restaurant was spotless, & the ambiance was excellent-warm & inviting.
For the appetizer, we ordered the sea bream, & it was absolutely delicious! The whole fish was expertly sliced into thin pieces & served with a fragrant orange sauce. Even the fish bones were deep-fried & lightly salted, adding a delightful crunch. The presentation was beautiful, & the flavors were incredibly refreshing. We loved it so much that we ended up ordering a second plate!
We also got a dozen oysters, which were incredibly fresh. They were served with diced onions, fish roe, & pickled chili rings-the perfect balance of acidity & spice, enhancing the natural sweetness of the oysters.
The sushi platter came with six pieces for $60. The seasoning was well-executed, the fish was fresh, & the rice was slightly warm, which was a nice touch. However, after having two raw dishes already, I started to feel a bit overwhelmed by this point.
The filet mignon, unfortunately, fell short compared to the earlier dishes. Both the seasoning & the doneness of the steak were underwhelming. On the bright side, the broccolini was a pleasant surprise. The portion was generous for just 14 CAD, & it was well-prepared with great flavor.
Desserts were decent. The tiramisu's cream was not overly sweet, which I appreciated. If only the choux pastry had been crisp! The yogurt was also unsweetened, & honestly, for a dessert in North America that isn't overly sugary, I'd already consider it a win.
Will visit again!View more
I went to Restaurant ZOËLLE on Feb 16th for my 7 year Anniversary which always falls on Valentines Day dinner menus.
At first glance your like woow...Great Bar .
Then the fun began...looking at what to eat.We had two starters.Buratta with fresh tomatoes & the best calamari EVER! Then we couldn't decide on our main sides so we ordered Filet mignon ( the meat was cooked medium & was delicious.I've still salavating!) We also had the 4 large garlic shrimp in a garlic with parsley infused oil...omg! Sooooo Fresh & not overcooked. It was crunchy & very flavourful. We also took a side of thousand layered potatoes...sprinkled with sea salt..love love.Lastly for the veg component we have brocolini in a tahini sauce accompanied by a tangy yogurt minty sauce. An abundance of Mediterranean flavors in your mouth...oh & I almost forgot the sprinkle of toasted pine nuts.It all complimented together. For dessert....oh my that dessert has got to be the best dessert I've ever had in a restaurant. It was a baklava Mille feuille with pistachio filling.I swear this dessert was so good that I almost asked for a second one...to take home lol.
The service was excellent. They have a good selection of wine. Our drinks were tastey & well boozed!
The owner Steve made his rounds & took the time to chat with us.I appreciated this.It shows that he truly cares about quality & customer satisfaction.
I highly recommend this place for date night, business meeting, girls night.
This restaurant has 3 floors & abundance of space.Go check Restaurant ZOËLLE out.Trust me you won't be disappointed!
Yours truly
