Absolutely loved the restaurant! The manager was so sweet & accommodating, amazing customer service. Everything was clean & well-kept with good seating areas. The food was absolutely delicious & authentic! I would definitely recommended this place!
Very good Chinese restaurant with lots of delicious options, I would recommend the clay pot rice with spicy beef. The menu is also helpful as there are symbols next to each item, making it easy to tell whether the food is spicy or if it has certain ingredients like peanuts, beef, or chicken.

J'ai commandé des nouilles wan za en livraison dans ce restaurant. On peut choisir entre des nouilles ou des vermicelles de riz, ce qui est un vrai plus. Le goût est excellent, bien parfumé & très savoureux.
Très satisfait de l'expérience, ça m'a donné envie d'aller sur place pour essayer d'autres plats.
Restaurant Pinophyta mérite vraiment une excellente recommandation. Leur soupe de poulet à la noix de coco est riche & parfumée, avec une saveur naturelle très réconfortante. Le riz en pot (style cantonais) est également remarquable, bien cuit avec une texture parfaite & des ingrédients généreux.
Le service est professionnel & attentionné, on se sent tout de suite bien accueilli. La cuisine ouverte inspire confiance & montre le sérieux du restaurant. L'environnement est propre, soigné & agréable.
This place reminds me of home every time I visit. The food is authentically Cantonese & full of flavor. I love the hainan chicken rice & their noodles. The service is really friendly & welcoming. 100% recommended.
Stopped by for lunch on this incredibly cold afternoon. The wonton noodle soup I ordered was absolutely delicious & did wonders for my ability to cope with the cold! The staff was lovely too & the prices very reasonable. This place is a little bit off the beaten path, but only a couple minutes away from shopping on St Catherine. I would definitely recommend making the short trip & I will be back!
I found my new go-to restaurant downtown! Convenient placement, delicious food, amazing value, very warm & kind customer service, nice calm ambience. Had dumplings, fried rice as well. Recommend the fried rice with pine nuts.
very authentic chinese cuisine, their cold chicken appetizers has a fair amount of chicken considering the price of the dish. we also ordered their scullion oil noodle, the noodles were sticking together & the dish was cold when delivered. despite the coldness of the dish everything was good. recommend the chili oil wonton, very nice taste & the filling was very tasty. would come back again!
Don't know how authentic their Hainanese chicken is, but it tasted unbelievably bland. Would not recommend if you're looking for a flavorful experience.

Excellent repas dans une ambiance chaleureuse & familiale. La soupe wonton & les oeufs centenaires ont été nos coups de coeur, suivi de près par le poulet salivant & les dumplings aux arachides. Le personnel était attentionné & souriant. Tout ça pour un prix très abordable! Je recommande & je reviendrai!!
The restaurant has a great atmosphere - cozy & welcoming. service is excellent, clay pot rice is absolutely delicious, with perfectly cooked rice & crispy bits at the bottom. The dumplings are also tasty & fresh. Highly recommend!
My newest find for amazing Chinese food! This is truly a gem for Chinese food & we need more of these in Montreal!
We came here 3 times & I can def say the food was delicious & fresh. Hats off to the chef owner because the Clay pot dishes, Hainan chicken & DanDan noodles were better than many many places I've been to all over the place.
I def recommend this place for great Chinese food.
The'Mouth Watering chicken' (cold dish) is the perfect dish to start off with. Then you can try the Dandan noodles & clay pots. Hainan chicken is very hard to find a good place & this place hits the spot for very good!
Expect to see me here often !
One thing they can improve on is the ordering. out of the 3 times I was here, first time the waiter complelty forgot to order the clay pot, second time got the wrong clay pot order.

After exploring around McGill University, I found this Chinese restaurant. I tried the cold beef & spicy kelp?both were authentic & delicious. The braised pork intestine noodles were also amazing, with rich marinade & a flavorful broth. The attentive service & cozy atmosphere were a big plus. Highly recommend!
Pinophyta may have an unusual name, but it's a hidden gem for neighborhood, family-style Chinese cuisine. I only ordered a few small bites & a clear soup, but everything was comforting-exactly what a traveler needs. The restaurant is clean (no sticky tables!) & well spaced, making for a relaxed & pleasant dining experience. I'd definitely come back, & I highly recommend it as a go-to spot for families or everyday meals. 10/10.
