We ordered stir fry noodles with beef & chicken plate. Noodles were mildly warm (almost room temperature) , beef strips on it were a bit dry & chewy. We complained at the counter they kept on saying its fresh we just did it. Not sure what happened may be it waited to get served, it was a cold day. We ordered Chicken big plate on house recommendation as one of the best sellers. It didn't impress us much, it was a regular chicken curry/soup done in pressure cooker seemed seasoned with all-spice powder & some vegetables poured over flat pasta. It was actually some thing that i didn't expect to pay that much. Its a very basic chicken soup that one can do at home. Overall it was an under whelming experience.
Update: Further on your response, there is a difference between DRY stir fry & some thing that is served not fresh. I think you didnt get the point. Similarly for the chicken plate for us the price didnt justify the value we saw in the product.
Their stir-fried noodles with beef has become my favorite dish!!!! SO GOOD! I wish they were on Uber eats or Doordash
so I could order it at every craving!
Incredible food. We've never had Uyghur food before & were blown away. The portions were very generous ( don't order the Big Chicken Plate unless you have friends or someone to help with that). The hand pulled noodles were fantastic, & the beef dumplings were so incredible & juicy. Highly recommend this restaurant
First Uyghur cuisine experience in Montreal, but not my very first for this type of food. The dishes we ordered were all tasty, I especially enjoyed the handmade noodles. However the rushed service overshadowed our experience. We came far to try this place & did not get there until 40 minutes before close. I understand it's a later arrival but it's not last minute by any means. I was initially discouraged to come for sit-in over the phone but we weren't going to give up after coming all that way. The dishes came out one by one rather than at once so we could enjoy them on the same plate. It would have been nice to have at least had the beef dish served with the noodles. Their hurriedness really affected my experience here but the food didn't disappoint.
I recently had lunch at Miran Restaurant with a friend, & it was my first time trying Uyghur cuisine. We started with the Spicy Bean Jelly, which wasn't really my thing, but the Hot Iron Plate Beef that followed was fantastic-the veggies were perfectly cooked, not overdone. Then came the Crushed Cucumber Salad, & I completely fell in love with it. The freshness & the sauce were just right; I couldn't get enough. My main dish was the Stir-fried Diced Laghman with beef, & honestly, it's one of the best meals I've ever had. The sauce, the spices, & the leeks-everything was spot on. I tried the Miran Doghap, a mix of ayran & honey, which was really delicate & refreshing. If you like sweet & savory combinations, you'll enjoy it, though they do serve it generously. We also had Lamb kebab Skewers that were juicy & flavorful, & the Lamb Petir Manta, which I enjoyed as well. The lamb meat in manta was tasty, but I wish they had a non-spicy sauce option for dipping the manta. Overall, this was an experience I'll remember. The service was fast, & our server was so kind & accommodating. I even took two orders of laghman to go for my family, & they loved it too. I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in town.
The decor is unique, related to their culture. The staff helped us understand the menu & was well informed. The food quality & taste was amazing. I had Dry stir-fried beef Laghman, Lamb kebab Skewers, Petir Manta & hot iron plate beef. The only down part, most of their chicken options were unavailable except their big chicken dish.
Absolutely phenomenal food - full of flavour & very unique. Better than other Uyger food I've had. We had ordered a bunch but our favourite was lamb kebab skewers, the lamb broth soup, the lamb samsa, the fried hand pulled noodles & the beef hot plate. Decor is also very pretty! The service is friendly & accommodating, a bit slow to come & re-fill the water but otherwise good. We appreciate that we were able to pray! It's also good for large groups. We were around 14-15 people & we sat at one long tables We will keep going back for more InshaAllah
Great food & service! Staff was helpful with making a choice. Had the dry stir-fried laghman with beef & loved it, would definitely recommend.
No exaggeration, it was super tasty, full of flavour & spice. I would definitely come back with family. All the ingredients have a fresh home made feeling. I was really happy with the prices as well. Ambiance is clean & calm. Perfect place to invite friends & family. Manta special drink is a sweet yogurt drink. 5/5 Beef qordak was full of flavour. 5/5 Stir fried noodles were also great. I asked them to make them spicy & they did not fail. Original don't come spicy. 5/5 The staff is very kind & offered complementary rice bowel without asking.
Food was amazing, had the hot beef stir with bread & it was delicious
Samsa Lamb, Lamb kebab, & Laghman with beef The Uyghur ethnic minority is predominately Muslim, so its cuisine meets somewhere between central Asian & Turkic traditions, bubbling away from the melting pot of that famous trade route. There are only 4 restaurants in Montreal that serve this cuisine!
The best Chinese Noodles ive had in Montreal.
This is truly a hidden gem
I tried their noodles which are hand pulled & have amazing texture. The flavour used in this Laghmen dry stir fry beef dish was super flavourful.
The spice level was perfect & the beef was super juicy.
It can take some time to receive the food since its all made fresh.. but 100% worth the wait.
Would definately go again & again & again
