This is my go-to for uygur food namely laghman, manty, samsa, & pilov. I normally order a takeout because those are huge portions & it is better eating at home :D
We were never disappointed with quality of food here as everything is delicious & freshly made. I would only note that you have to expect food be spicy... removing spice completely changes dish dramatically...
Excellent Uyghur restaurant with a beautiful & authentic atmosphere. The colorful lamps & decorations make the place feel warm & unique.
I tried the lamb shank with rice, fried laghman noodles & samsa. Everything was fresh & delicious. The lamb was very tender, & the rice portion was huge. The fried laghman was somewhere between Turkish & Chinese cuisine, with handmade noodles & great flavor. The samsa was also excellent & very filling.
The staff were friendly & even offered me a small sample of their traditional Uyghur drink. It tasted like a cold ayran smoothie with a little sweetness from honey. Interesting & refreshing, although I personally still prefer regular ayran.
The restaurant is very clean, quiet & comfortable. It would be a great place to come with family as well. Next time I definitely want to try their kebabs.
Highly recommended!
Halal halal halal, those are the main vocal point.
The food was sooo goood. The staff was very nice, they give us permission to pray in the otherside of the room & use their Sajada (prayer mats). Kudos to them. It's kids friendly as well, you can see an airplane flying by very close from the parking lot. Kids also love the food from Pilov, Satay until The Siomay
I visited with my wife, children, & aunt & ordered four pilovs. Unfortunately, the meat was very tough, as if it had been sitting for a while & reheated. When I mentioned to the waitress that it's usually tender, she said she would speak to the chef but never followed up with us. I was really disappointed, & this will be my last visit.
My aunt is elderly & couldn't chew the meat, so I ordered her a soup instead, which was good. Even my kids noticed & commented that the meat was hard.
Visited during my trip in Montreal, surprise that I could enjoy Chinese food here. The yogurt slash is a must try.
Le Laghman est excellent & l'agneau est tendre & très bon aussi. Belle ambiance & excellent service.
The interior decorations are so colorful. It was quite pretty & it wasn't overbearing either which was nice. The service here was quite shy. We didn't get much of a welcome when we arrived & most of the time, the waiters & waitresses were hiding behind the counters. We had to flail our arms around to get their attention. The food itself was great. The meat was flavorful, the noodles had amazing texture & the drinks were refreshing. I do feel like it was missing a bit of vegetables. The potatoes with the noodles were a bit much but it was still tasty. The portion is made for 2. We had the medium plate which was intimidating because it was 42$ but after looking at the tables around us, we understood that it was meant to be shared.
