Last night, a group of seven of us came here for dinner to celebrate a family member's birthday. The manager said that since there were more than four of us, we had to order their designated set menus. The set menus came in three varieties, priced at $95, $110, & $125 per person. In each set menu, except for the main course, the appetizers, salad, & dessert were the same, but there were only two main course options (steak & pasta). The most expensive set menu only included those two main courses. Furthermore, everyone had to order the same set menu. This meant that if one person didn't like those two main courses, they also had to order them. Those who didn't like them had to order other main courses separately. Also, all appetizers & main courses were meant to be shared among seven people, not individually. Some dishes were too small for seven adults to share. For example, the bread with the escargots only came in four small pieces; how were seven people supposed to share that? We had to ask the manager for three more pieces. The salad portions were also very small, only enough for two people. We had to ask the manager for one more salad as well. The waiters were very attentive. However, for this price, the food was served in this way, with small & oddly portioned portions, making it extremely poor value for money. Furthermore, there were few other options, making it feel like being forced to spend money.
Where do I start? My wife & I went to Limousine last night to celebrate our anniversary. What an experience! From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by a lively atmosphere, lovely decor & even better staff (Samuel & Max in particular). Samuel walked us through the menu, & everything sounded phenomenal. We shared the beef tartare, salmon crudo, escargot, steak frites & duck. Everything was phenomenal & the food just kept getting better! The team made us feel so special & we're so happy we got to celebrate our special day there. Service was impeccable - everyone was always on it, so friendly, & so great to chat with! Would go back in a heartbeat & we've already been telling our friends to go! Thank you all for such a special night!
Food was unbelievable. Tbone steak was fantastic although pricey. The cocktails were all unbelievable also. Service was great until shift switched & our new server wasn't as attentive as he should have been. Cost us over $400 but it was very very good & felt special even for such a big price tag
J'avais réservé près de trois semaines à l'avance, intrigué par le hype autour de Limousine. J'étais sincèrement excité d'y aller.
Dès l'arrivée, rien à redire : belle ambiance, petit espace feutré, lumières bien tamisées. Les propriétaires ont clairement bien réussi la transformation de l'ancien Starbucks. Le décor est soigné & l'atmosphère est agréable.
Côté nourriture, l'expérience est plus inégale.
En entrée, le tartare de boeuf était très bon, portion généreuse & bien exécutée. L'accompagnement, une tranche de pain brioché avec du beurre, sort des sentiers battus. C'est anticonformiste, mais honnêtement, ça fonctionne.
Là où ça se gâte, c'est au niveau des accompagnements. J'insiste sur ce point : il ne s'agissait pas d'un plat principal, mais bien d'un accompagnement facturé 18 $. J'ai commandé des carottes nantaises & des champignons, les accompagnements étant à commander séparément.
Les carottes étaient extrêmement dures, au point où mon couteau à steak avait de la difficulté à les couper. Pour un simple accompagnement à ce prix-là, c'est franchement décevant. Les champignons, eux, étaient corrects sur le plan de la cuisson, mais manquaient de saveur : peu ou pas d'assaisonnement, aucune réelle profondeur.
Le plat principal, un hamburger, était bon, savoureux, bien exécuté. Cela dit, la présentation laissait à désirer : une grande assiette avec un burger seul au centre, sans élément visuel ou accompagnement pour équilibrer l'ensemble. Pour le niveau de prix, je m'attendais à un peu plus de finition. Le burger était aussi plutôt petit.
Autre point important : mon plat principal est arrivé environ cinq minutes avant mes légumes. Ce décalage enlève au plaisir du repas. Quand les accompagnements sont finalement arrivés, ils étaient malheureusement immangeables. J'en ai mangé à peine le tiers.
Les boissons & le vin étaient bons, rien à redire là-dessus.
Pour deux personnes, la facture taxes & pourboire inclus, s'élevait à environ 300 $. Je précise que je n'étais pas dans les plats les plus chers du menu, qu'il n'y avait aucun dessert dans cette addition, & que le montant s'explique surtout par les prix des plats, des accompagnements & des drinks. À ce niveau de prix, l'exécution doit être très solide, ce qui n'a pas été le cas ce soir-là.
Au moment du dessert, la carte ne m'inspirait pas particulièrement. Au-delà de ça, après avoir été déçu par les accompagnements & mitigé sur le plat principal, je n'avais tout simplement plus envie de dépenser davantage.
Le service était courtois & professionnel. Toutefois, la discussion avec le serveur était très axée sur les projets d'expansion, la croissance du groupe & l'acquisition de nouveaux établissements. C'est intéressant sur le plan entrepreneurial, je suis moi-même entrepreneur, mais j'aurais aimé sentir davantage de passion pour la nourriture, le produit, la cuisine. Le discours donnait surtout l'impression d'un modèle très orienté vers la croissance, plutôt que vers l'amour du détail culinaire. L'échange est aussi resté assez à sens unique.
Au final, j'aurais voulu donner un 4 sur 5, mais en raison de ces ratés en cuisine & du rapport qualité-prix, mon expérience se situe plutôt à 3 sur 5.
Je trouve ça dommage, car le concept & l'ambiance sont bien réussis.
Je précise que j'ai volontairement attendu plusieurs mois avant d'écrire cet avis, sachant qu'un nouveau restaurant peut nécessiter des ajustements. Cela dit, après plus de six mois d'ouverture, je m'attendais à une exécution plus constante.
Je n'y retournerai probablement pas, mais je recommande quand même d'essayer. Peut-être ai-je simplement été malchanceux ce soir-là.

Les desserts, quoi que faits avec ingredients de qualités, manque de maîtrise.
Nous ne pouvons pas le recommander. Pour justifier les prix, l'exécution doit être parfaite, ce qui n'est pas le cas.
Had dinner at Limousine & sat at the bar - great spot for a relaxed but classy meal. I ordered the steak & pasta, & both were excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly & the pasta was flavorful & well prepared. Service at the bar was friendly & attentive, & the overall atmosphere was warm & inviting. Definitely a solid choice if you're looking for quality food in a comfortable setting. Would come back.
Beautiful place with a nice ambience. Sat at the bar & was very well received by JC. A little bit disappointed that on a Friday night most of the steaks were unavailable, except for a 2kg cote de boeuf (we were 2).
The dishes are well executed & it is a shame that they are not explained when served, especially when you see how much work goes in to the food. It deserves better.
When it came time to order dessert we were told the kitchen was closed & desserts were unavailable. What?! On a $600 bill for 2 people, a last call on dessert would have been nice. Felt like the experience was unfinished. Disappointing.
We were five & tried the $120'tasting' menu. What a disappointment. It was really just a sharing menu with awkward portions. The beef tartare was actually good, but there were only four toasts for five people. For $120 each, you'd think everyone would at least get their half slice of toast. Most dishes were split into two tiny plates for five. The steak at the end was good & the only reason I'm giving two stars. Otherwise, I would never recommend the tasting menu. At the end, the five of us had to share a tiny piece of cake & a soft serve ice cream. It was just frustrating.
What an amazing evening we had at Limousine. We opted for the tasting menu & wow. We were not disappointed, from the appetizers, to the shoots served in old school toy limousines & we cannot forget the piece of resistance the steak!!!!!! Topped it all off with a nice little sweet treat!
Service was on point as well.
