On avait vraiment envie d'aimer Limousine. Avec le nom de Laurent Dagenais derrière le projet, les attentes étaient élevées. Malheureusement, l'addition l'était plus que l'expérience.
La cuisine est moyenne, sans effet « wow » - e.g. poisson trop cuit, pain qui dégouline de gras, frittes trop cuites. La carte des vins mériterait aussi une sérieuse révision : des prix ambitieux pour une sélection plus'show off' que savoureuse & qualitative.
Le service mérite aussi d'être revu. Le serveur ne connaissait pas les deux plats du jour, a confondu des shiitakés avec des maitakés, a apporté le fromage & le dessert en même temps & a oublié une partie de notre commande. Pris individuellement, ce sont des détails. Mis bout à bout, ils donnent une impression d'amateurisme difficile à ignorer.
Au final, ce n'est pas un mauvais restaurant. C'est simplement un restaurant qui promet davantage qu'il ne livre. À ce prix-là & associé à un nom tel que celui de Laurent Dagenais, on s'attend à repartir impressionné. Nous sommes surtout repartis en nous disant : c'est tout? Dommage, parce qu'on avait vraiment envie d'en faire notre nouvelle adresse coup de coeur.
Wow! Tout nos plats étaient à couper le souffle. Superbe présentation. Service incroyable! Tout les membres du staff étaient très polis, professionnels & attentionnés. Notre serveuse Dahlia était exceptionnelle! Elle nous a très bien recommandé nos plats & nous a également conseillé du vin en accord avec ce que nous allions manger.
D'ailleurs, une des meilleures cartes de vins sur la rive sud!
Bref, j'ai adoré mon expérience & j'y retournerai définitivement.

Le meilleur restaurant depuis des mois que nous sommes allés. Des entrées jusqu'aux repas & cocktails m'ont fait découvrir que la cuisine est un Art. Même Mozart aurait aimé manger à ce restaurant.
Se veut bling bling, mais triste, fade, sans saveurs, staff condescendant, se référer au commentaire plus bas ici du pauvre gars qui a vomi à la saint Valentin tellement c'était infecte. J'y ai été invitée & force est de constater qu'il n'y a que de la déception. Tout le monde n'est pas obligé de cuisiner, & encore moins d'ouvrir un restaurant.
We went to this restaurant yesterday & it was absolutely exquisite. The drinks were incredibly tasteful, well-made, & genuinely enjoyable. Samuel was very kind & attentive, & the restaurant itself was spotless & beautifully maintained. The meal service was spectacular from beginning to end. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience & we would definitely come back.

Last night, a group of seven of us came here for dinner to celebrate a family member's birthday. The manager said that since there were more than four of us, we had to order their designated set menus. The set menus came in three varieties, priced at $95, $110, & $125 per person. In each set menu, except for the main course, the appetizers, salad, & dessert were the same, but there were only two main course options (steak & pasta). The most expensive set menu only included those two main courses. Furthermore, everyone had to order the same set menu. This meant that if one person didn't like those two main courses, they also had to order them. Those who didn't like them had to order other main courses separately. Also, all appetizers & main courses were meant to be shared among seven people, not individually. Some dishes were too small for seven adults to share. For example, the bread with the escargots only came in four small pieces; how were seven people supposed to share that? We had to ask the manager for three more pieces. The salad portions were also very small, only enough for two people. We had to ask the manager for one more salad as well. The waiters were very attentive. However, for this price, the food was served in this way, with small & oddly portioned portions, making it extremely poor value for money. Furthermore, there were few other options, making it feel like being forced to spend money.
This was my second visit to Limousine & I was not disappointed. The ambiance was welcoming, the servers were generous & accommodating, & the food was expertly prepared with quality ingredients. I enjoyed a Bombay dirty martini as I waited to be seated, & the server graciously offered me a petit amuse-geule to satisfy my hunger. The first course, the evening's special, stuffed squash blossoms was accompanied by perfectly prepared white asparagus. Light & delicious. My main entree was halibut & peas served atop plump mussels. All perfectly cooked & presented. The suggested wine pairing was perfection. My final flourish was a delicious & inventive rhubarb dessert that evolked childhood memories of a soft serve ice cream, topped with lavender honeyed corn flakes. The dinner was a feart fot the eyes & the senses. I look forward to returning to Limousine upon my next visit to Montréal!
