Probably the best price/quality&quantity of any Chinese restaurant downtown. We got the Dim Sum combo B & it was great! Anything with shrimp that they serve won't disappoint. My girlfriend & I both have big appetites but we could barely finish the combo. Definitely going to keep coming here.

Everything was perfect, one of the best Chinese food i have tried. The place is small & cosy, more like family place. The prices are really democratic. We were talking shrimp wonton soup with egg noodles, dumplings with pork & cabbage, dumplings with shrimp & pork. Highly recommended

A place like this being empty feels almost like some kind of crime to humanity (then again having the space to myself felt rather nice.) For starters the service was immaculate, both men who helped me were incredibly nice & answered all my questions. They also didn't get frustrated with my inability to choose but rather gave me all the time I needed. I specifically would like to note that even though I was one of the only people there, they didn't slack off on service. Only hiccup was a mistaken dish but it was handled relatively quickly. The place was clean, the workers were kind & I have no complaints. I even saw them deal with a disgruntled delivery person with grace.

Now down to what really matters, the food!! OMG these were THE BEST SPRING ROLLS I HAVE EVER HAD. Tbh the spring rolls stole the show, hands down the moment I'm back in Montreal, I'm heading here first & ordering like 15 Lol!! I thought they were so crunchy & so flavorful, it shook me. Mapo tofu was spicy but not overbearing, everything inside was cooked to perfection & it was definitely a hefty & delicious serving. I paired both these with a phenomenal bit of shrimp dumplings & some warm sake that had my appetite ready to go & my tummy warm Lol.

Funnily enough I walked PAST this place wanting to go somewhere else for dinner, that place was unfortunately packed & by the grace of God this was right across the street. The world works in mysterious ways but it put me right where I was supposed to me. The food was so good that I ran (more like waddled) back to tell my friends & we ordered again for takeout the next day.

Sake: 7.5/10 mild flavor but still held that nice sake smoothness.

Spring Rolls: 1000000000000/10 absolutely 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 it was so good that I wish I had bothered to take better pictures of it. Taste are subjective but I really enjoyed these spring rolls

Shrimp dumplings: 8/10 perfectly shaped & beautifully made. Plenty of shrimp inside, only had soy sauce to go with it but I almost wish I had a sweeter sauce option. Still amazing & I really enjoyed it.

Mapo Tofu: 8/10 very distinct flavors, isn't for everyone but is still delicious. Spicy but not overbearing.

(Not pictured but ordered the next day)

Shrimp Pad Thai: 9/10 , I had to eat it the next day so I'm giving this review based off of having to reheat because I was late to eating it.

Chicken dumplings: 8/10 personally don't love chicken dumplings in general but these were so flavor, great alternative for those who don't like pork or shrimp.

You don't find many places that are not only affordable but still manage to to be delicious But this easily fit the bill in every way. If you want a solid Chinese restaurant, without the gimmicks, without a crazy long menu (compared to many places I've been to) but still delicious options, this is it.

Quite an enjoyable meal! The lunch special offers excellent value-it included a main dish & a choice of soup, either wonton soup or hot & sour soup. The wonton soup featured shrimp wontons, & it was absolutely delicious. I loved the stir-fried beef rice noodles-the flavor was incredible, with perfectly stir-fried ingredients. The fried dumplings were amazing as well. At the end of the meal, they even gave us fortune cookies & fresh orange slices. They also served water infused with lemon, which was a nice touch. Everything was fantastic!

Updated 2024.10.25. Arrived late on VIA train, & searched Google maps while on the train that would be opened at midnight & Restaurant Kung Fu came up for Chinese cuisine. Walked from the train station. Brightly lit interior, clean. They offer set menus, but I had my own ideas of what to get & it ended up costing the same. Ordered a small wonton soup, steamed shrimp dumplings har gow, steamed pork dumplings siu mai, broccoli with Chinese BBQ pork instead of beef, steamed xao long bao, Tsing Tao beer. Don't order too many dishes. The food didn't take very long before it started appearing. We were pretty full. Their xao long bao wasn't all that tasty nor appealing. The wonton & siu mai could have been improved with the addition of shrimp & mushrooms, & powdered dried flounder for their wonton to improve the complexity of taste, like improving from one musical instrument to a quartet.

We ordered the combo A for 2 to go. We were amazing not only by the quantity but the quality of the food for the price! We are definitely going back! Our favourite dish from the combo was the wonton soup & the shrimp dumplings! The shrimp dumplings look & taste like taking out from a Ghibli movie. The service was fast & the staff was really nice. If you are downtown & hungry, this is a great place. You will not be disappointed!
