The restaurant seats more than ninety diners at square and round tables seating up to 10. The atmosphere is informal and children friendly. Review Summary

Kam Shing is a long standing spot known for generous portions and a family style approach that works well for large groups, with round tables that encourage conversation. Reviews praise the tasty food, good value, and consistent crowding that testifies to its popularity, with favorites including dishes like orange beef, won ton soup, crispy skin fried chicken, chow mein and other Cantonese staples. Service is described as excellent on many visits but not always, with some encounters labeled as rude or slower on busy days. Some diners note changes in quality or menu items over the years, while others feel the current offerings still deliver solid, well priced Asian dishes. Overall Kam Shing is seen as a dependable, vibrant place that delivers big portions, easy sharing options, and a lively atmosphere that keeps it packed and well regarded by regulars.

Not the same place as when I used to come 10 years ago. I ordered the pineapple chicken because I used to love it. The pineapple chicken I received was orange, it used to be more of a yellow color like real pineapples. The sauce was just a plain sugar sauce with pieces of pineapple.. it tasted disconnected, nothing like it was in the past. & the spring roll was undercooked & very oily. It's like they didn't even try to drain the oil, there was so much oil in the bag it came in. Didn't feel like there was much care in preparing the food. Guessing they were busy but it's not the same from what I remember.

Tasting the "wok hei" at Restaurant Kam Shing, on Cote des Neiges. Been coming to this place since it was at the original location, & the food has consistently been delicious.
Wok breath - that unique smokiness & aroma imparted to food from a perfectly seasoned wok

Must haves :
• General Tao chicken (moist meat, lightly battered & perfectly deep fried, served with the signature Tao sauce)
• Yang Chow fried rice (fried rice with dices of char sui pork, shrimp, vegetables)
• Wonton Noodle soup with Shrimp dumplings (note: photo shows a partially eaten bowl -- SO good
