Kam Shing is a long standing spot known for generous portions and a family style approach that works well for large groups, with round tables that encourage conversation. Reviews praise the tasty food, good value, and consistent crowding that testifies to its popularity, with favorites including dishes like orange beef, won ton soup, crispy skin fried chicken, chow mein and other Cantonese staples. Service is described as excellent on many visits but not always, with some encounters labeled as rude or slower on busy days. Our family's favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is tasty & served in a generous amount. The servers are cheerful & accommodating. Our favorite is the fried rice, Cantonese chow mien, fried chicken, sweet & sour fish, & the stuffed tofu.

Great food, we have General Tao, Chinese broccoli & fried rice. The portions are very big for the price, the chicken is crispy; would definitely be back again.

Portions are huge! & the sizes of the chicken & shrimps are big. But all in all it's one of those Asian restaurants, you go in to get the job done & leave. Don't expect much customer service, just going there to eat. But for my food I did feel it was bland, like there was no taste in my chicken fried rice. Maybe it was an off day.

Tasting the "wok hei" at Restaurant Kam Shing, on Cote des Neiges. Been coming to this place since it was at the original location, & the food has consistently been delicious.
Wok breath - that unique smokiness & aroma imparted to food from a perfectly seasoned wok

Must haves :
• General Tao chicken (moist meat, lightly battered & perfectly deep fried, served with the signature Tao sauce)
• Yang Chow fried rice (fried rice with dices of char sui pork, shrimp, vegetables)
• Wonton Noodle soup with Shrimp dumplings (note: photo shows a partially eaten bowl -- SO good

Price : 59.22$ (picture)

Food is good, big portions with affordable prices ! A lot of people have been eating here for generations. You see a diversity of clients so they adapt properly to everyone (yes they have to judge you to see the amount of msg they put). I got one water refill at the end. I didn't ask tho but usually I shouldn't ask. Don't get me wrong, staff is hard working. For take away, they gave us boxes & a nice reusable bag. +1

Food : (way enough for 2 people, good for 3-4)
Cantonese chow meing (speciality) 4.75/5
Calamari salt & pepper (3.75/5 not warm not cold)
Fried rice (3.5/5 not the best not the worst)

Absolutely excellent food!

The restaurant itself is not pretty, old tables, virtually no décor ..but oh my gosh the food is delicious.

We had general tau chicken, scallops with Chinese broccoli, a white rice with shrimp dish & 1/2 litre of a white house wine.
Everything hot, fresh, large portions.

The whole bill worked out to about $25 each tax in.
