I ordered the pineapple chicken because I used to love it. The pineapple chicken I received was orange, it used to be more of a yellow color like real pineapples. The sauce was just a plain sugar sauce with pieces of pineapple.. it tasted disconnected, nothing like it was in the past. & the spring roll was undercooked & very oily. It's like they didn't even try to drain the oil, there was so much oil in the bag it came in. Didn't feel like there was much care in preparing the food. Guessing they were busy but it's not the same from what I remember.View more

Our family's favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is tasty & served in a generous amount. The servers are cheerful & accommodating. Our favorite is the fried rice, Cantonese chow mien, fried chicken, sweet & sour fish, & the stuffed tofu.View more
Love the general tao chicken from this place! Best Chinese food in Montreal! We've been coming here for many years & the quality of the food is always exceptional.View more
Great food, we have General Tao, Chinese broccoli & fried rice. The portions are very big for the price, the chicken is crispy; would definitely be back again.View more
I have been going there for over thirty years.Have tried several restaurants like kam shing. No doubt the quality & portions are top notch. The service at times as you have read in previous reviews is questionable, but no doubt it has gotten better. If you don't want msg or less sodium they will be happy to oblige.Again great food!!!psBeef & broccoli.,orange beef, chicken fried noodles & mixed vegetables are very good.View more
Portions are huge! & the sizes of the chicken & shrimps are big. But all in all it's one of those Asian restaurants, you go in to get the job done & leave. Don't expect much customer service, just going there to eat. But for my food I did feel it was bland, like there was no taste in my chicken fried rice. Maybe it was an off day.View more
Tasting the "wok hei" at Restaurant Kam Shing, on Cote des Neiges. Been coming to this place since it was at the original location, & the food has consistently been delicious.
Wok breath - that unique smokiness & aroma imparted to food from a perfectly seasoned wok
Must haves :
• General Tao chicken (moist meat, lightly battered & perfectly deep fried, served with the signature Tao sauce)
• Yang Chow fried rice (fried rice with dices of char sui pork, shrimp, vegetables)
• Wonton Noodle soup with Shrimp dumplings (note: photo shows a partially eaten bowl -- SO goodView more
Absolutely excellent food!
The restaurant itself is not pretty, old tables, virtually no décor ..but oh my gosh the food is delicious.
We had general tau chicken, scallops with Chinese broccoli, a white rice with shrimp dish & 1/2 litre of a white house wine.
Everything hot, fresh, large portions.
The whole bill worked out to about $25 each tax in.
My friend & I wanted take out last night & we decided to place an order & go pick it up at this particular place. We had spring rolls, general Tao chicken, orange beef & vegetable fried noodles & we loved it. Easily one of the best general Tao chicken I have ever had.
