Absolutely loved the Pork steak, it reminded me of how my great grandma used to cook pork, the waiter was super friendly, shared stories about Portugal & food. Even suggested the best wine to go with all that delicious food. Highly recommended.

I have been coming to Jano with my wife & now my daughter for twelve years. It is one of the most pleasant, warm, engaging, & reassuring places. The food is delicious, the service is pleasant & the atmosphere makes one feel like part of the family. Anyone looking for top quality food with a comforting feel should come to Jano
Entrées généreuses, calamars grillés avec une sauce délicieuse. Les sardines sont excellentes, 4 par portion. Le Pastel de Nata chaud servi avec cannelle, comme au portugal. Prix & service raisonnables.
Je viens d'y retourner 4 ans plus tard. Les portions sont généreuses, même trop un plat pour deux c'est suffisant. Les plats viennent avec une salade individuelle. C'est un endroit simple & tranquille. Dommage que les tentacules ne soient pas incluses dans le calmar grillé, c'est toujours un plus. Le poulet grillé est vraiment très bon. Je ne comprends pas ceux qui ont fait des commentaires très négatifs, la place est très bien & les plats somples & goûteux. Je laisse vos yeux apprécier !
Ce n'est pas un restaurant très rafiné niveau look, comparativement à des restos portugais cher mais, ça a une touche d'authenticité. Ça rappel bien un voyage au Portugal. La nourriture est bonne & le décor est bien. Le poulet est délicieux & les frites sont bien croustillantes. Les plats sont aussi bon que directement au Portugal

Delicious chicken! Their homemade spicy oil is incredible 🤩 I also highly recommend you try their shrimp entrée (we ate it so fast that we forgot to take pictures haha)
Amazing service ! Food very good !! They offer a dessert with a recipe that's more than 500 years old! The chef has been working for 30 years. The cuts of meat are made to order. Nelson served me, & he's one of the best people you can get! He speaks 8 languages! 10/10
Consistently one of the most reliable places to sit down for a reasonably priced Portuguese meal. Serving up one of the better rib steaks served in Montreal as well.
Try the Portuguese fries. A good change from regular french fries.
We didn't want to brave line up for Schwartz's & we were so glad that we stopped in. The food was excellent & the portions were quite generous. If you are in the area it might be a key move to skip the line at Schwartz's & get quick friendly service here at Jano. Our meal was less than $20 per person for chicken, salad & a generous serving of fries.
