Just stumbled on this spot & food was amazing. The sauce...the chicken...everything was good,staff super friendly even tho we were the last ones there when they were closing. This will be my first stop next time we visit Montreal!

Seriously incredible food & the nicest service. Everything is gluten free except the bread. They only fry fries so I was able to eat them too as a celiac. 10/10 would come back. The chicken was so flavourful & juicy.

I will admit, the chicken up front smelled & looked delicious, but we only stopped in for drinks & dessert. The sangria felt a bit watered down, & the pastel de nata's were not my favourite. Service was lovely.

Best Portuguese food i've ever had!!! We ordered the half chicken & for starters we had prawns. When we arrived, we had a complementary salad & bread basket, I used to come here 20 years ago & it's so great to see it's still making delicious food with great service. Would 100% recommend!

The food was very delicious, & the staff was friendly. I tried both the fish & chicken, & they were good. Although there is no halal sign, the staff indicated that the chicken is halal.

Delicious chicken! Their homemade spicy oil is incredible 🤩 I also highly recommend you try their shrimp entrée (we ate it so fast that we forgot to take pictures haha)

We didn't want to brave line up for Schwartz's & we were so glad that we stopped in. The food was excellent & the portions were quite generous. If you are in the area it might be a key move to skip the line at Schwartz's & get quick friendly service here at Jano. Our meal was less than $20 per person for chicken, salad & a generous serving of fries.

Literally the best Portuguese chicken I have ever had. Nelson was the most informative & friendly waiter. Very personable & honest & funny. The sauce for the chicken was delicious, the chicken was really tender & the chip potatoes they give you are great too. A must try. Thank you for a wonderful expensive
