Consistently one of the most reliable places to sit down for a reasonably priced Portuguese meal. Serving up one of the better rib steaks served in Montreal as well.
Try the Portuguese fries. A good change from regular french fries.
Literally the best Portuguese chicken I have ever had. Nelson was the most informative & friendly waiter. Very personable & honest & funny. The sauce for the chicken was delicious, the chicken was really tender & the chip potatoes they give you are great too. A must try. Thank you for a wonderful expensive
We love Portuguese food & we have visited many restaurants but for chicken, hands down the best place in Montreal for Portuguese chicken. Their friend chips are outstanding & not sure where they get their Pasteis de Nata from but they are outstanding of this world. Our good friends introduced us to this family restaurant so now we will go back with our family 💖
We didn't feel like waiting in line at a neighbouring restaurant, so we picked this restaurant right next door. It was after the lunch rush. As soon as we walked it, an employee loudly complained about it never ending. I found it quite rude & shocking but said nothing in the hopes he wasn't referring to more customers arriving. I did check the restaurant's opening hours online just in case they were closed from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., but it said they were open. I even asked an employee if they were open to be extra sure. I hope we weren't intruding. If we were, they could have just pretended they were closed. The restaurant was almost empty save for a table of customers & 4 employees. An employee seated us right away,... next to a container that was catching water from the dripping air conditioner. An odd choice considering that all the other tables were free. After a few minutes, the employee from the beginning came to take our order. He & 2 other employees brought the entrées, main meal, drinks & dessert. The wait staff checked in & made sure we had everything we needed. The chicken was crispy & perfectly seasoned on the outside & tender & juicy on the inside. It paired perfectly with the soft bread from the table basket. I couldn't get enough of the thick, crispy-&-soft homemade potato chips with skins on the edges (portuguese potatoes). They're addictive. The pastel de nata (egg tart) was rich & flaky, & fresh custard oozed out with every bite. The flan was okay, but we were expecting a fully intact wedge like in the picture, & instead it looked as though someone had taken a big bite out of the tip. The kitchen should consider cutting it in a different shape. The decor, music & nature scenes were calming. I think we just caught the staff on an off moment.
We decided on a last-minute meal of chicken & salad, & this place didn't disappoint. We were seated quickly. The grilled chicken roasted to pretty perfect, not dry, the fries were crispy & delicious, the warm bread crunchy & although the salad had a bit too much vinegar, still tasty. & that hot spice tho! While the food was tasty , our waiter was rude, slow, & inattentive. Had to ask for water ,utensils & the bill , 2x's. Fortunately, another younger waiter who brought our food , provided excellent service with a smile. Overall, imo, this was one of the two best fast food Portuguese chicken in Montreal. Coco Rico being the other.

Simplicity at its best. The waiter was excellent (I rarely get to say that), the food was delicious & I recommend ordering their piri-piri sauce in a jar to go as well. A must try for anyone craving real portuguese flavors ✌️
Love the chicken breast meal with chips. Tastes amazing with the right amount of Portuguese spiced sauce. Service was great with great attention to its customers. Never disappointed great price & would recommend it.
Probably some of the best food I've ever had in my life. Went with my Portuguese friend, & he loved it too. The chicken was amazing, & I don't know what they did to those peppers but they were to die fo

Big fan of Portugal, we've tested yesterday this restaurant that was well noted. Honestly, even though I like Portuguese food, the chicken was awfully dry, the fries were there to fill your stomach than anything & the wine was flat
Warmly decorated portuguese restaurant. It didn't look very busy on Friday night, service was quick. We got garlic shrimp appetizer & it was good, the grilled calamari didn't taste much, the rib steak although big was however bland & tasted like not marinated at all. Maybe that's how portuguese steak is supposed to be but we didn't like it at all, even with the spicy sauce. Overall it seems a bit overpriced.
The best Portuguese restaurant . The chicken is amazing , very close to what we eat in Portugal . I always order from there & I never regret . The food is always good & fresh . Obrigada pelo pao , faz me lembrar muito de casa :)
Excellent food in an unassuming location that, like a Tardis, is bigger on the inside than it appears. Authentic Portuguese beers complement the roasted meats. Large, fluffy buns arrive at your table as soon as you are seated. Atmosphere is simple & friendly. Prices are surprisingly good compared to other neighboring restaurants. Excellent choice if you enjoy traditional Portuguese food. Only disappointment was the fries: not bad, but traditional Portuguese roasted potatoes would have been nicer than fries you'd find pretty much anywhere else. Hot sauce had a very nice kick & helped improve the fries somewhat.
