Review Summary

Restaurant Impérial is widely praised for fresh dim sum and Cantonese dishes, with reviewers highlighting crowd-pleasers like har gao, shrimp dumplings and BBQ pork buns, and noting the lobster and eggplant dishes as standout options. The QR code ordering system and quick kitchen turnaround are frequently mentioned, along with reasonable prices and a wide variety that suits families and groups. The dining room is described as large and lively, making it a dependable spot for dim sum, but crowds on weekends can make it noisy and service uneven at times. Some critiques point to occasional bland or overly salty dishes, gaps in cleanliness, and moments of slow or less courteous service, though several diners report fast attention and attentive staff. Overall, it is considered a top choice for Cantonese dim sum on the south shore with good value and consistent availability of many dishes, though experiences can vary by visit.

DimSum is ok, 4 stars
Dinner (1 star) is pretty bad. Poor food quality. Too salty & oily. Quantity is bad too. Waited 45min for the first dish to come. Highly NOT recommend for dinner. Service is bad, cold water barely got filled up.

I haven't eaten dimsum here yet (heard good things), but foods from their dinner set menu were very fresh & delicious. Compared to other Chinese restaurants, this place is very clean & well-maintained.

Good dimsum for montreal. The fried dishes were very fresh & tasty. The fried calamari was super tender & the XO sauce fried turnip cake was very good. The rest of the food was also pretty decent. The service is very fast & we didn't wait for more than 5 minutes for a table of 2 on a saturday around 1pm.

Have came here many times for brunch (dimsum) or a la carte in the evening. Much better food & price compared to dimsums & Chinese restaurants in downtown Montreal.

A decent dimsum restaurant. If good foods is the only thing you want to find then, voilà, this is the place.

We love the dimsum here. We come regularly whenever we are in the area. This time we tried some stir fries other than just dim sum. Not the greatest to be honest. We would stick the dim sum items next time.

This is a great dimsum place, one of the best in Montreal. You order off a menu, not pushcarts, but the dishes are fresher, larger, & tastier than most competitors.

Best place for dimsum in Brossard but always very crowded. Arrive before opening time on weekends to avoid the crazy lineup! It's definitely on the heavier side & can't compare to other dimsum places in Toronto & Vancouver, but it's as good as it gets for Montreal. Glad to no longer have to go to chinatown in the city since they moved from there to two locations off the island. Worth the detour if you're craving dimsum in Montreal & parking is free.

Great Chinese Cantonese style dimsum. A little pricey if ordered small plate. order dishes would be more economic if you have more than 2 persons.

Pretty average dimsum fare. I enjoyed the deep fried taro balls (not pictured) the most out of everything we ordered but I don't think I would return again. Service was non existent & the washrooms were questionably sticky & grimy. The food did come out fast & hot at least.
