Première expérience à Montréal dans ce restaurant & elle fut mémorable. Au delà de la cuisine qui était excellente (mention spéciale aux rices cake & le pudding chômeur), je tiens à remercier l'ensemble de l'équipe pour le service qui était exceptionnel, attentionné & convivial tout le long du repas.

Par contre, quel a été ma déception en goûtant l'aligot. Le chef devrait avoir honte de servir cette purée au cheddar. Je n'appellerai pas ça un aligot revisité mais une purée ratée. Le bon fromage n'y est pas, la texture n'y est pas & le goût non plus. Il faut se ressaisir chef.
Grinder is a name to take seriously. I thought I would just have a main dish with a side, maybe dessert, & leave. That did not happen. This restaurant really understands how to deliver an experience that keeps you wanting to order more & more. The food, the atmosphere, & the service made the whole evening feel worth it. A very good experience overall.

Excellent birthday celebration, service was top notch. Zatya- hope I am spelling it correctly, was an amazing server.
From the wines to the food the Grinder experience is a must in Montreal.
We ordered a table for two to celebrate the birthday. Surf & turf for two is great, steak is so tasty, the sea fruit are good quality too. Next time we want to try the burgers, seems very good too.

Had the pleasure of checking out Grinder for a work dinner & overall had a really enjoyable evening. The restaurant itself is beautiful - stylish interior, very clean, & thoughtfully designed. They also offer coat check & valet, which is a nice touch. One thing that stood out is that the restaurant has a butcher shop connected to it, which adds to the overall concept & quality feel of the place.
I started at the bar while waiting for my boss, & the service throughout the night was excellent. Attentive, quick, & professional without feeling overly formal or pretentious, which I appreciated. The wine list is also extensive.
To start, I ordered the calamari, which was fantastic. The batter was crisp & light, & it came with a creamy jalapeno sauce that had a nice balance of tang & spice. Easily one of the better appetizers of the night.
For my main, I had the filet mignon with mushroom sauce & a baked potato. The steak itself was decent, though slightly chewier than I would normally expect from a filet. The baked potato, however, was the standout - loaded with a thick layer of cheese, sauce, & bacon. Very indulgent & delicious. The steak & baked potato came out on the cooler side but the loaded cheese made up for it.
For dessert I ordered pudding chômeur with soft serve vanilla ice cream. It was warm, moist, & comforting with a rich brown sugar base. The portion was perfect, though it did get a little sweet toward the end.
Overall, the vibe of the restaurant was great - lively but not stuffy. Service was excellent & the experience was really enjoyable. I'd definitely come back, & next time I might try the burger because it looked incredible on other tables.
We ordered the surf & turf for two & chose the ribeye, which was excellent! The sides were very good as well, & while everything else was solid, nothing particularly stood out. It's nice to have a variety of options, but overall it didn't quite feel worth the price.

Service valet très plaisant pas besoin de chercher un stationement, service au table 5 étoile pour tout les serveures-serveuses le timing est parfait pour les entrés & repas principale. Ont voit bien que l'expérience client font partie de leur priorité. La nourriture wow! Top 1 de mes restaurants. Nous allons y retourner.

La pièce de viande qui coutait (de tête) 170$ n'était pas généreuse du tout, c'est censé être pour deux personnes mais j'avais encore super faim, la purée de patate aligot était minuscule & sèche, le fondant chocolat était très bon par contre.
Il faut que vous fassiez principalement des efforts sur la quantité parce que sortir d'un restaurant en ayant encore faim après avoir dépensé presque 300 dollars ca met très mal
Le rib eye & le short ribs was veryyyy good! Les calamars frits était tendre & goûteux! Par contre, nous étions assit au bar & le service était pourri, on a attendu au moins 10 mins pour demander un menu, on nous a donné un menu d'alcool uniquement… on a du redemander pour un menu nourriture. La serveuse nous regardait même pas, servait tout le monde autour sauf nous, expérience assez désagréable pour le prix qu'on dépense à ce restaurant. J'imagine que le service au table doit être définitivement mieux.
Hier, c'était mon anniversaire & moi & mon best bud, un peu tard dans la soirée on s'est dit'eff it, on va chez Grinder'... Une superbe soirée, un super repas &, bien que j'eusse essuyé une rebuffade après une -d'accord je l'avoue, quelque peu inopinée & inattendue- demande en mariage (...), on s'est amusé comme des petits fous & on s'est régalé. Merci à toute l'équipe 🫡
Had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here! The atmosphere was warm & welcoming from the moment we walked in. Our server was attentive & knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. The food was exceptional - fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, & beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor. The portions were generous & well worth the price. The restaurant was clean & well-maintained, & despite being busy, we didn't feel rushed. The dessert was the perfect ending to our meal. We'll definitely be returning soon & would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal & excellent service. Five stars!
