Review Summary

Didar earns broad praise for delicious Indian fare, generous portions and affordable prices, with many noting it as among the best in Montreal. The menu features butter chicken, curries, dal, channa, samosas, fresh naans and rice, offering variety and consistently solid flavor. The restaurant is described as a warm, family run spot with clean premises and friendly service, and it remains highly recommended over the years by a loyal crowd. The place is practical rather than fancy, yet visits are treated as a must by diners traveling from near and far, thanks to reliable flavors and value, including mentions of an all you can eat lunch buffet in some reviews.

We visited this restaurant last night while visiting Montreal. Found it on Google maps & it had great reviews , & was close to our hotel, so decided to try.
Wow !! Amazing food & service.
We ordered PaneerTikka , Butter Chicken , & Channa Masala with garlic Naan.
The Paneer Tikka came out sizzling on a cast iron grill & smelled & looked amazing . Tastes even better 😍
Every dish was bursting with flavour, loved them all.
Chatted with the owners, a family owned & run business for 25 years. Great experience overall, & look forward to returning on our next trip to Montreal .
Be sure to check out Didar Restaurant, highly recommend.

The food is so good. The fish pakora was so tender, the papri chat so fresh & butter chicken so comforting. The service was also amazing, AJ was super attentive & really engaging. Bonus: if you play Clash Royal, talk to AJ, you'll find some things in common. Its definitely my favourite place to grab Indian food, I highly recommend.
