Reviewers note that Restaurant Canada Best offers authentic Malaysian and Sri Lankan comfort food in a small, unassuming space, with Nasi Lemak and Rendang frequently named as standout dishes. Generous portions, bold sambal, fragrant coconut rice, and crispy ikan bilis are often praised, and the Nasi Lemak is described as heavenly. A warm, welcoming atmosphere comes from a friendly husband and wife running the place, with attentive service and thoughtful dish recommendations. The experience is cozy and homey rather than flashy, making it well suited for casual family meals and friendly gatherings. Prices are viewed as reasonable for the quality, and many diners plan return visits, especially for the Saturday specials and a wide range of menu items from noodles to curries. The menu is noted as accommodating for allergies and halal preferences, and customization is a plus. While a few comments mention occasional delays, the overall consensus is that the food is flavorful, authentic, and memorable, inspiring guests to bring friends and return again.
This is a small casual eatery. Malay dishes & some Malay style South Indian. It's tasty & a different experience for me. I like South Indian & this is similar but with a twist. Example a nice touch to include fried anchovy in the veggies. The chicken 65 & the Saturday special plate was really good. Portions are good. Chicken roll delicious & less spicy than in some Sri Lankan restaurants. Generally this is spicy food but manageable.. & can't wait to try the nasi lemak.
I got the Saturday special & the chicken 65 for entrée. I think the highlight of the dish is the chicken 65 which is also in the Saturday special, you get a lot of different flavors in 1 dish. There's fish, shrimps, chicken curry, vegetables & fried chicken. The portion is really good for the price! I'm definitely coming back to try something else because I'm not the biggest fan of seafood but I think someone who likes shrimp would enjoy this dish.

I had Bilis Nasi Goreng (fried rice with dried anchovies) with a fried egg on top & I must say the flavors of the dish lives up to expectations. I also had Mango Lassi & its a good pairing drink with my nasi goreng. Check out their other dishes on the menu too. If you enjoy south east asian flavors, this is a nice restaurant to visit in Montreal.
we had beef rendang & nasi lemak, then a mango lassi & masala chai for our walk home, it was perfect. food was delicious, the spicy anchovy chutney was quite spicy for me but so good i braved myself to eat all of it, the boiled egg helped a lot actually. the spices on the fried chicken was very delicious too! & the crispy anchovies! the sour chutney on the rendang was also very yummy!
i really appreciate the kind owners' detailed attention to the food & drinks they make & to their customers. go here to support your local business!
The nasi lemak, meat thali, & fried shrimp noodles were all excellent, but especially the nasi lemak! Masala chai & mango lassi were great too! The owners are a sweet & hospitable couple from Sri Lanka & Malaysia.

We took the nasi lemak & the shrimp noodles & both were delicious!
The shrimp noodles were well coated in the sauce & were packed with vegetables! It gave off a cozy feeling as if it was a home cooked meal 🤤
It was my first time trying nasi lemak so I cannot compare it, but I can still say that it was enjoyable! The fried anchovy gave it a nice crunchy texture when you add it to your bite & the sauce on top of the coconut rice was nicely spiced!
I would definitely come back on a saturday to try their Saturday special as recommended by the owner!
The BEST food ever which a very laid back atmosphere!! The fried noodles, nasi lemak, daily specials, & mango lassi are sososo good. Felt like being back in Malaysia & I'm sure their Sri Lankan food is top notch too. Please support this lovely local business!

My god am I impressed!! If you look at my profile you'll see that I mostly only remember the bad experiences with restaurants & establishments. Rarely am I ever blown away by something but this meal has done something extremely special. Props to the chef. The combination of flavors in the shrimp fried rice was like nothing I've had before. 10/10 one the best meals I've had this year.
Extremely delicious Malaysian Food with South Indian food! We Had Nasi Limak which had consisted of Spicy Fried Chicken with crispy anchovies , Coconut Rice with egg , cucumber & A type of spicy Curry Sauce. Each of which tasted amazing ! Their fish cutlet & Chicken rolls were on point as well!! 11/10
This is my second time eating at this restaurant & I am very happy with my choice! The food is always flavourful & served in a great size. I recommend the chicken noodles, it is their best seller there according to the owner. I am a big fan of the fried rice & nasi lemak. As well, the owner & the workers will serve you with a beautiful smile & a good conversation. Overall, I think you should give this Malay restaurant a try & I hope you find yourself coming back here :)
