Review Summary

Restaurant Bok is widely regarded as a top destination in Montreal for authentic Korean cuisine, with many diners praising the high quality and generous portions of signature dishes like jajangmyeon, tangsuyuk, and various bingsu desserts. The atmosphere is frequently described as cozy and welcoming, featuring a pleasant layout that appeals to those seeking a comfortable dining experience. While the vast majority of feedback highlights consistent, flavorful food and efficient service, some guests have expressed frustrations regarding inconsistent service speeds, occasional long wait times, or dissatisfaction with specific menu items like the vegetable japchae. Despite these isolated concerns, the restaurant maintains a strong reputation for offering excellent value and remains a popular choice for those craving traditional Korean comfort food.

The combo 1 with 2 Jajang noodle & tangsupork is just perfect for 2 persons! The fried calamari salt n pepper is the bomb!

Lovely food, jajangmyeon is quite frankly amazing. The fried pork is also really good. Their jjamppong could be better, it's just not as good as the other two.

Lovely Korean restaurant with very quick service (even near closing time). They play music videos on one of the walls, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. We ordered set 3 which is plenty for 2 people (a nice variety of their top dishes)! We were disappointed by their beef fried rice (a bit too moist to our liking). Would definitely come back to try their bingsu which they didn't have that night.

This is the restaurant in Canada that tastes the most similar to the food I've had in Korea! The sweet & sour pork is perfectly crispy & delicious, freshly fried to perfection. The jjambbong (spicy seafood noodle soup) has an incredibly flavorful broth, & the jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) stays true to the basics-everything is on point. The prices are also reasonable, especially by Canadian standards.

We came around 6:30pm & it was not too crowded. The staff was really kind & took our orders well. I ordered seafood 짬뽕 & it was delicious. It was not too spicy & there was a good amount of seafood. We also tried the fried pork chili & overall it was good. I recommend this place for people who want to try Korean style Chinese food!
