Vraiment une très belle découverte! Benjamin offre une expérience à la fois élégante, chaleureuse & raffinée. Dès notre arrivée, le service était excellent : attentionné, professionnel & présent juste comme il faut.
Côté nourriture, nous avons été vraiment impressionnés. J'ai eu l'occasion de goûter au spaghetti au homard, & sincèrement, il rivalise facilement avec les meilleurs que j'ai mangés. La cuisson des pâtes était parfaite, le homard généreux & la sauce absolument délicieuse. C'est clairement le plat qui m'a le plus marqué & que je reprendrais sans hésiter.
J'ai également goûté au steak, qui était très bon, bien cuit & savoureux. Est-ce que je dirais que c'est le meilleur steak en ville? Probablement pas, mais il demeure vraiment excellent & à la hauteur de l'expérience globale.
Entre le décor élégant, l'ambiance, la qualité des plats & l'excellent service, Benjamin a été une très belle surprise. Une adresse que je recommande fortement & où je retournerai avec plaisir. Une excellente option pour une belle soirée à Montréal!
We booked this for my birthday celebration. Many ppl were dressed in t-shirts & shorts. The was ok....steaks were a bit overcooked & side dishes were luke warm. They did bring out a birthday cake which was nice

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm, attentive, & professional service that made us feel truly valued. The food exceeded every expectation. The steak was cooked to perfection-so tender it literally melted in our mouths-& the desserts were simply exquisite, providing the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
What made the evening even more special was an unexpected & thoughtful gesture. When the staff realized we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, they surprised us with a wonderful anniversary detail that genuinely touched our hearts. It's these personal touches that transform a great dinner into a truly memorable experience.
You can tell that every detail, from the quality of the food to the exceptional hospitality, is driven by genuine passion & care. We will definitely be coming back & will happily recommend this restaurant to our family & friends.

We went on a Friday evening as last minute decision - we were pleasantly surprised. Got a perfectly cooked steak flank (bavette) with fries. The sauce had the right amount of peppery notes while the fries were well seasoned. Got a Paris brest for dessert that was also very good. When the dessert is good & not an after thought, you know the restaurant cares. Finally, impeccable service. Our waiter was professional, attentive, friendly, & prompt. He easily switched between French & English, which is always appreciated. This is not a superficial restaurant, the stars are well deserved. Happy we have a solid addition to the downtown scene.
my boyfriend & I came here for the first time about two weeks ago to celebrate our anniversary. the appetizers were absolutely wonderful. the tuna platter we ordered was so soft & tender! the martinis were delicious & as for our steak..it was possibly the best steak we've ever had! the server was very knowledgable about the sauces & helped us choose the best one for our steaks. they were perfectly cooked & so so delicious (we are quite particular about steaks, we had absolutely no complaints here!). the only mishap was the fact that the wine we ordered was an expired bottle which had gone bad. we brought it up to the sommelier & they told us they would bring us a new one. however, maybe due to miscommunications during dinner rush on a weekend night, we didn't receive our new bottle until dessert time. the staff were lovely & kindly took the wine bottle off our tab. since we already had a great experience, it wasn't a big issue for us. I would like to thank the team at Benjamin for their great hospitality & service, we cannot wait to come back here & we recommended this place to all our friends!
Went to Benjamin & although it was smaller than expected, it more than exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was enhanced by French music that instantly made the experience feel like a little escape to France, an affordable way to travel without the gas prices.
For starters, we had the burrata, Newfoundland oysters, & snails. The burrata stood out with its subtle sweetness from the peaches, creating a beautifully balanced flavour profile. The snails were a highlight; rich, flavourful, & perfectly prepared.
For mains, we ordered the steak & sea bass. The steak was incredibly buttery & tender, easily one of the best I've ever had & something I'd return for alone. The sea bass, paired with wild mushrooms, was equally impressive; even as someone who doesn't usually enjoy fish, I found myself genuinely loving it.
Everything was paired with a fruity white wine (Aix), thoughtfully recommended by our lovely waitresses Stacy & Daniella. To start the night, Daniella also treated us to one of her signature yuzu shots… a perfect & refreshing opener.
Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. If you haven't been yet, it's definitely worth visiting because I know I'll be going back.
Great service. Food was underwhelming. Steak had a lot of gristle & untrimmed fat that i think they could've done a better job trimming. Sides were really good though!
I ordered the ravioli, & while they tasted good, I was honestly surprised by the portion size. There were only seven small ravioli for $38 (before tax & tip), which felt underwhelming for a main dish at that price point. As you can see in the photo, the center of the plate was mostly sauce. I genuinely expected at least one ravioli under it, but it was just more sauce. It ended up feeling like a plate of sauce with a few ravioli rather than a main course.
My boyfriend ordered the steak, which was good but nothing particularly memorable or special.
We were also seated at a very small table that felt cramped, quite close to the neighboring table, which made the experience less comfortable.
Overall, the flavors were solid, but the portion size & overall value did not match the price.
Daniella nous as donné une expérience incroyable! De A à Z, le service ne laissait rien à désirer. Un martini phénoménal suivi d'une recommandation de vin parfaite pour notre steak porterhouse, notre expérience était exceptionnelle! Venez voir Daniella pour une soirée à s'en rappeler!
