Restaurant Bar 30 juin specializes in robust African grilling traditions that emphasize fire-seared proteins and complex spice profiles. The space maintains a focus on communal culinary appreciation, prioritizing the delivery of bold textures and intense flavors characteristic of the region. Every plate reflects a commitment to traditional techniques that favor ingredient integrity over complex preparation methods. Restaurant Bar 30 juin is frequently praised for its authentic, flavorful, and generously portioned African cuisine, with many diners highlighting the welcoming atmosphere and the dedication of the service staff. While the majority of guests have highly positive experiences, noting the consistent quality of dishes like poulet mayo, fufu, and grilled goat, some patrons have expressed concerns regarding long wait times, occasional service inconsistencies, and specific issues with order accuracy or billing transparency. Despite these isolated negative reports, the restaurant remains a popular destination for those seeking a vibrant cultural experience and comforting traditional meals in a cozy setting.
Good spot to try some authentic African dishes if you're feeling adventurous lol. The Yassa chicken was really good, recommended w plantains. The goat meat dish (starts with N) was too salty.
Service is slow!! Overall worth a try 👍

We visited Restaurant 30 Juin & had an absolutely incredible experience. We wanted to immerse our friend from West Virginia in authentic Congolese culture, & we all agreed there was no better way to do that than through food. We were too lazy to cook ourselves, so we decided to come here instead & were so glad we did!
Every single dish tasted like it had been prepared with a mother's love. The flavours were rich, authentic, comforting, & full of heart. We ordered the fufu, rice, kwanga, Poulet Mayo, Poulet Yassa, goat meat, turkey, fumbwa, pondu, ntaba, red sauce, & plantains, & not a single dish disappointed. Everything was perfectly seasoned, fresh, & cooked to perfection.
Our friend couldn't stop talking about how amazing everything tasted, & it was the perfect introduction to Congolese cuisine & hospitality. The portions were generous, the food was made with obvious care, & every bite reminded us why food is such an important part of our culture.
If you're looking for authentic Congolese food that feels like a home-cooked meal, this is the place. Thank you for giving us such a memorable experience Angie we'll definitely be back!
