En général c'est un très bon restaurant, pas de commentaire négatif, à part que comme c'était une soirée du jour de l'an, la musique était très forte, pour un restaurant pas très spacieux. La qualité des mets & les gouts étaient très bons, mais les portions de certains plats des 5 services, étaient microscopiques.

What truly elevates the experience is the service, particularly our server, Jaime. Jaime was fantastic-attentive, professional, & genuinely warm.
He guided us through the complex menu with insightful recommendations & ensured our drinks were promptly refreshed.

Super endroit, super nourriture tout est parfait, tout est authentique, & spécialement au gérant mo & Valentin, c'est des vrais de la restauration ils savent te mettre à l'aise & je le recommande .
Great authentic & full of flavours. My new go to spot when I'm at Royalmount. Super fresh & service was simple friendly & fast. No frills just a great meal in a beautiful place.

The service was really bad. There were no waiters & I believe the restaurant owner was serving us. The restraurant was empty except for our table. He was super dry, only filled our cups of water twice in an hour & a half, did not offer to take our coats & was generally unpleasant. The food was not cheap so I was expecting more considerate service. The food itself was pretty good except for the fact that the fish in my tacos was fishy, which is not at all acceptable at that price point.
'I'm a Mexican living in Montréal, & knowing the authentic flavors of Mexican food, I'm amazed at how close the taste is here. The mole with duck leg is delightful, & the dining area has a beautiful view. I highly recommend this place!'

Absolutely loved this place! The service was warm & friendly, & every dish was full of flavor & beautifully prepared. You can really feel the passion in the kitchen. I'll definitely be coming back & highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining expérience, Valentin is a very good manager & highly professional
Over priced food for tiny servings.
Nice ambiance. It was a busy Thursday night. Very very slow service.
Not enough staff or the ones that were there seemed over worked.
The female waitresses seemed to be just walking around, looking good & not doing much to share the work load & make service faster.
It was 45 min wait between appetizer & main dish(tacos).
Be prepared to wait an hour for food… don't go if you're hungry.
I came here a total of 3 times this year. All three times the service was bad. I waited almost an hour the first time I went even though there was about only 4-5 tables with people, not even full the restaurant & it took about an hour to get my meal & even the table next to us, you can see on their faces & checking their phone for the time. Wasn't just us.
The only reason why I came back again was because the churros dessert was good. The second time I went I brought a friend to show the churro dessert, they didn't have it which was fine, so we picked a different dessert but again it took more than 45 mins to get dessert.
Lastly I came again for my mom's bday & we both ordered churro dessert each, they sat us at a very uncomfortable seating place with constant disturbance to move, but I let that be cause I really wanted my mom to try the churro, & when they came they forgot mine. But we waited again more than 50 mins for it, I was so hungry, & waited again 20 mins to get mine.
Honestly the churro dessert was the only reason why I came back again. But for a dessert to take this long….. I won't be back again. The service is terrible.

Excellente expérience chez Balam! La nourriture est savoureuse, authentique & superbement présentée. Le service est attentionné & chaleureux. Merci à Valentin pour son accueil exceptionnel, on se sent vraiment bien pris en charge. Une adresse à découvrir absolument, je recommande sans hésiter!
Notre soirée a été bien plus qu'un simple dîner: ce fut une véritable expérience immersive, digne des plus beaux établissements de Tulum.
Dès notre arrivée, l'ambiance nous a transportés. L'accueil sur-mesure & exceptionnel de Valentin a donné le ton: attentif, professionnel & chaleureux, il nous a fait sentir uniques. Merci, Valentin, pour cette introduction parfaite
My family & I had a fantastic experience at Balam for my birthday. The waitstaff was phenomenal, the drinks were amazing, & the food was some of the best food I've tasted in a very long time. This was our first time here & we will definitely be back for more. Thank you for an amazing experience.
