I went to have the rib eye tacos & I must say they were the best tacos I've had in a very long time! The service was amazing & the management was impeccable. Will def be coming back soon!

I have to say, this place is worth every penny you spend. The food is outstanding, the ambiance is beautiful, & the service is truly A1.

In my humble opinion, this is the best Mexican food in Montreal. Everything we tried was exceptional. The duck tacos, ribeye tacos, & ceviches were absolutely amazing.

Make sure to save room for dessert you'll be pleasantly surprised. Every dish was prepared with care & packed with flavor.

If you're looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend Balam. Good food, great atmosphere, & memorable moments. Highly recommended!

L'accueil & l'atmosphère sont chaleureux & le service est rapide & courtois ! Le décor à l'intérieur du restaurant est impressionnant ainsi que la terrasse.
Le point noir est au niveau de la nourriture ! Il me semble que le menu est à revoir ! Il manque de choix, & surtout au niveau de la qualité & du goût ! Comme si il manque d'épices .. les tacos à la viande pas très fameux
En conclusion, ce restaurant a du potentiel mais je ne classerai pas comme restaurant haut de gamme au niveau culinaire ! Plus tôt moyen normal, donc le prix que nous avons payé n'est pas justifiable

J'étais à la terrasse du Balam aujourd'hui, c'était vraiment une excellente expérience , j'ai adoré l'ambiance & la vibe, le Taco Ribeye est monstrueux & aussi merci au manger pour sa recommandation de vin, le petit chablis était excellent 👌

Balam is an interesting one, we went for Mother's Day & were greeted with a complimentary mimosa! We arrived 3 hours early of a reservation due to mischeduling a different event. Despite this service was spot on, friendly, & accomodating for our unique situation. I'm sure it helped that we came before it got busy but it was appreciated.

When it comes to the food, it was generally good. The guac & chips were delicious, the quinoa salad was one of the best I've had. The tacos (shrimp/octopus & duck) while good, were perhaps underwhelming relative to their ingredients or just not to my taste. The churro dessert was sublime however.

A real winner here is the cocktail menu. I had the pleasure of trying two drinks that came in smoked containers that were both wonderful. I also had a dessert drink called a'Gold of the Gods' that was arguably the best equivalent to an espresso martini I have ever had.

Atmosphere in the restaurant is however average, at least during early afternoon. The walls are somewhat drab, or deliberately done as an aesthetic. All the plants are plastic. I could see it looking better in the darker hours of the day. The center bar is very nice, but some of the seating is a bit cramped. I had to move my chair so servers could pass behind me multiple times.

Altogether, I could see myself returning & trying some of their other fare or to at least reorder one of the drinks. We had a good time & a good Mother's Day, & we appreciate the staff at Balam for making it a good one!

The Rib Eye tacos were a carnivore's taco dream come true. & I also had a life changing experience. Ask Freeman to hook you up with an espresso Martini. Just WOW!
