The spicy cocktail I got was one of my favourite cocktails ever, sweet & spicy & tasted delicious!! The paneer appetizer we got was 100% my favourite, the flavours were so amazing I would come back just for that! The naan & paneer dishes we got were also super good, the white one was a bit sweet for what I'd typically like but I think it's normal for that dish & I wanted to try something different. Will definitely come again, great for vegetarians!
I am very perplexed about this one considering the 4.8 stars as of writing this review.
We reserved for 2 in advance. Busy Tuesday evening, it took over 1h to have our food with no clear communication or follow up.
We tried 2 NON-spicy bowls to pair with their spicy turbo naan. The waiter had warned the naan would be spicy, we said we don't mind spicy & to make it as spicy as a local would authentically take. We obviously never asked for the bowls to be made spicy, & certainly didn't expect that the bowls would turn EXTRA spicy, to the extent we couldn't taste anything else (please see the ridiculous pepper picture).
Upon receiving our food, the staff never came back before billing time, therefore we had no chance to discuss this. No excuse, no solution, just a spicy mess overwhelming all other tastes. It's like they purposely avoided us from this point on. The experience was horrible, spicy beyond comprehension.
The billing itself was rude. They cancelled the payment as I was paying, stepped away, came back 5 min later because a previous client had been overcharged they were adjusting their billing system by subtracting something like 40 cents off our bill. Weird stuff, shouldn't be our problem to partake in, & it made us feel like they were about to assume some responsibility for the off experience, only for this to be about themselves. Super selfish.
All in all? Displeasing & weird customer service experience, no adjustment or feedback possible, a very long wait, pricy dishes, & a dish so spicy no human on earth would enjoy the experience.
I can't understand the hype & I certainly don't recommend. STAY AWAY, there are much better Indian restaurants out there.

Amazing food & great service! We ordered the Tulsi Paneer Tikka, Dahi ke kebab, Paneer Lababdar, & Dal Makhani. Everything was cooked to perfection, especially the Garlic Naan. If you're looking for authentic Indian flavors, this is the place to go!
Un des meilleurs restaurant indien de ma vie. Nous avons mangés des plats végétariens (dahl, paneer, riz, naan Philadelphia ail, lassi salé). Les saveurs étaient sublimes. Les quantités sont très généreuses. Nous sommes repartis avec des doggybag.
Une très belle découverte, je vous le recommande !
Parmi les meilleures saveurs indiennes que j'ai pu goûter. Tout ce qu'on a pris était délicieux. Les plats épicés comme il faut, les naans généreux, le lassi excellent. Beaucoup d'options végétariennes.
Manchurian was good. 2 garlic naan was half cooked.
Both of the sabjis - panner kholapuri & mutter mushroom - Both of them were so bad, Me & my partner having weird stomache & not feeling well soon after dinner.
It seems they used same masala for both sabjis which was too old & added lot of cream to it to make it look fresh & since we were last customer at the closing time, they didn't even made sure about the specifics of spicy level we asked for.
We were travelling back from our Quebec trip to Ottawa. & Honestly we had so much expectation by looking at the good reviews & pictures, we decided to stop by in Montreal just to dine at this place.
Wonder if we it had worsen due to closing time or the reviews just doesn't make sense.
We ordered the Sunday non-veg thali for $85, which offered a lot of variety, but only a few items were actually good. The malai chicken & dal makhni stood out, & the rasmalai, naan, & raita were also enjoyable. Most of the gravies were disappointing, the soya chaap, mutton, & butter chicken were not good & were largely untouched. The fish appetizer was especially bad, with excessive batter & barely any fish, making it almost inedible.
The service negatively impacted the experience as well. While the manager was courteous, the waiter was unhelpful & poorly informed. He couldn't explain what was included in the thali & kept pushing us to order extra food, claiming the thali wouldn't be enough for three people. When we ordered chhole chaat separately, he failed to mention that it was already included in the thali, leading to an unnecessary duplicate order.
Overall, the food was very average & overpriced for the quality, & the poor service from the waiter made the experience even more disappointing.
Cauchemar… seul le pain naan était bon. Je donne 1/10 pour l'endroit la nourriture les toilettes… La note de 4.8 n'est pas reflétée dans les plats servis lors de ma visite.
It's a gem, feel very authentic, the restaurant filled with all Indian customers. Very delicious Indian food, full of spice & rich flavours.
We ordered 3 naan & one rice to finish 2 dishes. Would be better if they can give a bigger portion of naan in this price. Garlic naan is quite plain, not the best but ok.
We visited this place after seeing the 4.8-star rating & had high expectations. To start with the positives-?the naans were good, & the soaf paneer tikka were tasty. The gulab jamun was decent as well.
However, the overall experience with the veg thali was quite disappointing, especially considering its $75 price point. The thali included 4-5 curries along with dal & two types of naan, but the curries did not taste fresh or comforting. Within a few hours, both of us felt heavy & bloated, which made us question the quality of the oil or the freshness of the food. Even as I write this review nearly seven hours later, the taste of the curries & rasmalai still lingers unpleasantly.
The papdi chat was served very cold, which took away from the experience. At this quality level, I wouldn't consider trying the thali again even if it were priced at $10.
To the owners-this place isn't presented as fine dining, yet the pricing suggests otherwise. I would genuinely encourage you to try other Indian restaurants in the area to understand the balance of quality, freshness, & pricing that customers expect.
I sincerely hope the focus shifts toward using fresher ingredients & offering dishes that feel more nourishing & worth the premium you're charging.

Très déçu, pourtant les commentaires sont bons.
Ambiance froide dans le restaurant & il faisait aussi frais à l'intérieur , serveur habillés en civile dans le restaurant, poulet semblait avoir déjà été cuit puis réchauffé, il n'était pas tendre. Il n'y a que le riz & les naans qui étaient bons. Nous ne reviendrons pas.
I've visited Rendez-vous Bistro twice now, & both times the experience has been excellent. The food, presentation, & service all stand out. The Bhatti ka Murg & Dahi ke kebab were absolutely amazing - full of flavor & perfectly cooked, definitely must-try starters. The Garlic Naan paired really well with both Murg Rajputana & Chicken Tikka Masala, which were rich, flavorful, & authentic.
The ambiance is cozy yet refined, & the staff are attentive without being intrusive. One thing to note - if you request Indian spicy, be prepared! They take spice levels seriously, & it can get genuinely spicy 🌶🌶🌶, so order accordingly.
I'm already planning to go back soon - the Thali is next on my list. Highly recommend this place if you're craving well-made Indian food in Montreal.
We had a wonderful experience here! We came to celebrate Diwali & had an amazing time.
The gatta curry was so delicious, & the naans were very well made (it tasted like they had a proper tandoor in the back!)
We will definitely come back.
Also, the mango Lassi was one of the best I've ever had.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Rendez Vous Bistro! Right from the moment I walked in, the way they greeted me was exceptional - truly a real Maharaja-style service that made me feel valued & welcomed.
For starters, I tried the dahi kebab, which was perfectly crisp on the outside & soft, flavorful inside. For the main course, I ordered paneer kolhapuri along with turbo naan, garlic naan, & lachha paratha-each one was fresh, soft, & paired beautifully with the rich, spicy curry. To complement the meal, the mango lassi was refreshing & absolutely delightful.
Everything I ordered was simply awesome, both in taste & presentation. The service throughout was top-notch; the staff was attentive, polite, & went above & beyond to make the dining experience memorable.
Overall, Rendez Vous Bistro is a gem! Exceptional hospitality, amazing food, & the kind of service that keeps you coming back. Highly recommended!
Excellente expérience au Rendes vous Bistro. Un service impeccable par Pavan, qui a su nous guider a travers le menu. Le poulet au beurre était absolument délicieux, les portions de riz & de naan conséquente. Je recommande vivement !
We got fooled by the 4.8 rating. It is not. There are so many good Indian restaurants in Montreal. We tried Laal mas which was ok , garlic naan was good. Rest of the stuff like kulfi, Rasmalai, biriyani was not good. 4.8 rating is highly suspicious & the restaurant is not cheap as well. Go to Rutba if you are in platue area. Any restaurant near Concordia is better than this one. Service was really good & they are really nice.
really incredible food - delicious Rajasthani buttermilk, amazing dhal, fragrant paneer lababdar. The cheese naan & garlic naan were really special. Can't speak highly enough about the service & care for food
Tried this place last week & was seriously impressed! The Veg Kolhapuri was one of the best paneer dishes I've had - super flavorful & well-spiced. Paired it with garlic naan & loved every bite.
Ended with their paan kulfi, which was creamy & refreshing. Big shout-out to Shaurya for the amazing service. Definitely coming back!
