J'ai trouvé que le service était très lent, alors qu'il y avait peu de clients dans le café. C'était long avant d'avoir notre café & encore plus pour la prise de commande. Les portions sont aussi gigantesques. Il serait chouette d'avoir des options pour les plus petits appétits.
Un accueil au top & un brunch a la hauteur de mes espérances !!!!!
Nous avions un serveur (grand, cheveux attachés) adorable, serviable.
Une équipe qui prend soin de vous.

Très bon café, pain baguette grillé pas très croustillant, jambon un peu sec, fibreux & caoutchouteux. Moins bon que lors de mes visites précédentes. Un peu déçue...un mauvais jour?

If you like sweet or savory there will certainly be something on the Menu for you to enjoy.
But I am deliberately choosing to focus this review is about the defining characteristic that makes Regine Cafe the absolute best place in all of Montreal.
You can tell Regine put's just as much value into their service, as they do their mind-blowing & world-class food!
Good service is such a big part of the brunch experience.
Often the popular Brunch spots in Montreal are often overflowing with people waiting to get in their fix of breakfast delights.
Customers who CAN'T WAIT to give their business to a place they read about on the internet, heard from a friend or saw the line in the street.
I've ate at nearly all of them & I can tell you rhe difference between being good, & being the best is the way in which a restaurant will brave that wave of eager consumers & give them not only what they want, but also make their experience personalized.
The front of house greeted me & said goodbye while remembering my name, & our lovely server Lea was insanely patient with us while helping us decide which of the amazing meals to get! The craziest part? It was her first day! You could of had me fooled she was working here for 5 years :)
They started the meal with freshly squeezed juice & everyone in the whole place was smiling & having fun while working. I saw a lot of parallels going on here to the type of treatment you would get at a restaurant like Joe Beef.
It honestly makes the food taste better.
We had the Gaufre & Canard, Champi & Gros Jambon & all left wanting to do it all over again & trade dishes.
You honestly can't eat your way through this Menu in one sitting, it will take multiple visits! So stop reading this & go... Or I will take your spot!
Très bruyant on a de la difficulté à s'entendre! Un peu passé midi il y a moins de monde & on finit enfin par mieux s'entendre (j'y suis allée un vendredi vers 10:30)! Mes oeufs manquaient un peu de cuisson (je ne l'ai pas mentionné alors j'enlève pas d'étoile pour cela & la prochaine fois je serai plus précise sur la cuisson de mes oeufs), le reste de la nourriture était très bien, aucun gras qui dégouline dans l'assiette & le café filtre hyper chaud à mon goût! Beaucoup de personnel sur place alors le service est rapide, chaleureux & attentionné...donc impeccable!!! J'y retournerai c'est certain mais plus tôt le matin ou vers l'heure du dîner!!

Ça a commencé par une file d'attente pénible dans ce froid de la fin octobre.
Beaux décors, bel arrangement sur chacune des tables. Le serveur nous sert le petit shooter de fruits: pomme/citrouille/muscade: eh oui, on se utilise les fruits de la saison & c'est malheureusement très très fade...
Bol de café comme les autres bols de café.
Le serveur a oublié de placer notre commande & nous apporte une grosse brioche à la cannelle à partager pour nous aider à patienter. Délicate attention & la brioche contient beaucoup de cannelle piquante: un régal!
Le plat choisi: un sandwich de croissant, oeufs brouillés, jambon effiloché, nappé d'une béchamel aux épinards (qui goûtait tellement le bleu, bizarrement). Un à-côté de fèves au lard beaucoup trop salé & une boule de pomme de terre pilée qui ne goûte rien.
Les fruits étaient bons...
Ah oui. Si des amis veulent venir vous joindre un peu plus tard pendant votre repas, les weekends, on vous conseille fortement qu'ils se prennent une autre table & attendent en file, même si vous avez une place pour eux...! Dans le fond, arrivez en même temps ou textez-vous pendant votre brunch.
Un décor charmant, des plats originaux & plus que copieux & un service amical. Quoi demander de plus pour bien commencer la journée? Rien! Tout est là pour plaire aux amateurs de brunchs.

La carte est si alléchante que chaque choix est déchirant. J'ai opté pour un chic "grilled-cheese" avec fromage vieilli & oignons caramélisés, mon conjoint, pour une omelette décadente. Le café était très bon & les assiettes remplies de fruits. Vraiment, que du bonheur que nous avons hâte de retrouver sous peu !
(Petite note tout de même : les fauteuils vintages sont magnifiques, mais plus ou moins confortables pour un repas. La prochaine fois, nous préférerons une table plus traditionnelle :)
