I have lived in Montreal for three years & have visited many restaurants. Seeing the 5-star Google reviews for Ranj's, I was eager to try it out. I went there today with my wife & toddler, but unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype. Here are the reasons for my disappointment: 1. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was subpar. We had to clean the table ourselves to remove the mess left by previous customers. 2. Baby High Chair: The high chair for my toddler looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. It was filthy, & I ended up not using it. 3. Food Quality: The food did not live up to the 5-star reviews. If those reviewers think this food is amazing, they must not have visited good restaurants in Canada. For comparison, the chicken isn't even half as good as Popeyes in BC. 4. Service: The waiting time was quite long, & it was difficult to find staff at the cashier when needed. We had to wait several minutes just to get someone's attention. Overall, I will not be visiting this place again. Based on my experience, I believe a 2-star rating is fair for this restaurant.
The best place I visited in Montreal. Taste, quantity & the presentation all was spot on & surpassed all expectations. Tried club sandwich, fried chicken, zinger burger & poutine & every item was the best. You can see the presentation in the pictures. Mr Jamal, the owner of the place was extremely courteous & so customer focused. For him his food & service is his pride & you can feel it there. Highly recommended to all my Torontonians
One of the best halal fried chicken spots in Montréal for sure. The fried chicken has a unique taste with good marination & flavours. The food takes around 25-30 minutes to be ready & that's because they make it fresh. The quantity & quality is consistent & great. Overall great experience!
I just went with my wife for the first time & we were both impressed by the quality & the very good service. We ordered sandwich & fried chicken meal & it was perfect. The taste is amazing & good quantity. We already saw great reviews on internet & we can definitly recommand the place
Been here multiple times & the food is always fantastic. Large portions, high quality & very delicious. The best club sandwich I've every had. Most are usually dry but this one comes juicy with the right amount of sauce. Got the zinger burger & that was bless. The owner is super nice & friendly. One of the go to restaurants whenever we want some fried chicken or club sandwich.
Great place, I come here all the time with my friends & family & the food never disappoints. They prepare the best halal chicken & have very unique meal choices. The staff is really friendly & the reps always make sure to talk with us & brighten our mood. They give you cups & let you fill them up as many times as you need, & if ever you need something like extra napkins or sauces they give them without any hesitation. It's a really nice place to sit down & talk with your friends while enjoying some good food!
Best fried chicken ever. Tasty, crunchy & freshly made when you order it. We ordered a nine pieces meal, a burrito & another sub style sandwich & it was so good & fresh. We drove over an hour to get there & will definitely go back soon. Special thank you to the lovely lady at the counter, her smile & jokes made our day. I wish I could give more stars. Halal friendly too.🧡 I wish I thought about taking pictures of our feast. I only took the burrito to show how big & loaded that thing is. My pictures doesn't show justice of how amazing it was.
Ranjy's has the best chicken in town! Brother Jamal is always super generous & always offers amazing service. Always friendly & caring to his customers. He makes the experience 10x better. The food is innovative & beyond delicious. Perfect place for families & friends to go. Would HIGHLY recommend!
