Generous portions! Only caveat: cash only.

No doubt , food is of high quality. Delicious. But, very disappointed by the service given by the cashier, the person on counter. Really very disappointed this time & I am a regular customer. I visit twice in a month here. Its the first time, I hope if I visit next time, you guys take care of it. Thank you, have a great day

Authentic, flavourful & inexpensive! I had the regular Thali with masala chai. No cards accepted - cash only. The only inconvenient is finding parking. Best to come by metro (Namur).

A long-standing institution that continues to welcome & serve its community with its flavorful, affordable & nutritious vegetarian dishes

The aroma of hundreds of fresh samosas fill the airs of dining room & a window display covered in desserts greet you once stepped through the doors of the restaurant. The food is unpretentious & embodies all that is comfort.

Even after ten years, the food remains just as good & heartwarming as the first time I remember having the pleasure to eat it. The palak paneer is deliciously aromatic & earthy. The baingan bharta is lightly spiced & deeply sweet from the slow-cooked onions. The chapati is crispy on the outside, & wonderfully fluffy & chewy on the inside.

Regardless of what you order, I assure you will be well taken care of. Just be mindful that Pushap accepts cash only.

As someone who has reviewed some of the best & expensive Indian restos in MTL, Pushap gets my seal of approval. They have the best samosas on the island imo. They only cost like 8$ for a dozen, totally great price. Everyone knows this place for their samosas. They also have sweets & you can sit at the restaurant & try some indian cuisine. Their food is also really good for the price you pay, which is very cheap for all the food you get. Totally worth eating here, their Thali's & everything is really good. Only downside is the resto size, they need to expand their restaurant, they barely have space for a semi big line. It is not good. Heads up only accept debit &/or cash but if you do on Uber Eats you can pay by credit card too.

Great food, big portions, solidary prices, you have to pay in cash or send an interac to the restaurant, highly recommended

I randomly found this place, searching online for something quick to buy while I was waiting for a rideshare. I was not disappointed at all! The food was tasty, warm & priced well. I also like that it's only cash there. The person who serve me was also very pleasant & made me feel at home. I will definitely come back every time I visit Montreal & I've told all my friends. Come check it out & see you will not be disappointed :)

One of the reasons I would love to come to Montreal. The way I was hosted by the owner & Hasnain the cashier was super friendly.. felt like I have been invited to someone's house & the hospitality of an Indian Host.. Love when you see the Rotti priced to eat not to sell.. $1 Rotti which is worth every penny.. I wish the owner well they made us feel special.. We are a family of 5 all of us enjoyed your food.. my son just fell in love with the Channa bhattoora.. 1000/5 stars for everything for love..

Below average food. Scary oil levels. Plus they accept only cash.

The cashier is often grumpy or impolite. I love the food though. Excellent.

IMPORTANT: Cash Only Place Once I did not have cash so I did a UBER Pickup but as we all know prices on the UBER menu are always more than actuals. No place in Montreal can beat their Samosa price! Though some people wrote about bad service in the reviews, but for some unknown reason I was always served very nicely here. I tried many dishes here as I live nearby & I am sure you will find Aloo-Gobhi(Potato- Cauliflower), Baigan Bharta(Egg Plant dish) & Daal Maharani(Lentils) as some of the good menu items here. Food items are less spicy so kids can also enjoy. For dessert you should try the "Gajar Ka Halwa"(Carrot Dessert) & the "Laddu"(Flour Dessert) as the best recommendations though all of their desserts & entire Indian Sweets section is just really really good. This place is very busy on weekends so try on weekdays!

Great Indian restaurant. Authentic & NO FRILLS. Menu is filled with options for vegetarians & meat eaters alike. Chana masala, red bean curry, potato curry were all delicious. The samosa was delicious as well. They served us bottled water as waters. CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT. they are accommodating to tourists & accepted USD & gave me change in CAD. The service is as good as authentic places can get. No parking lot. Has to park at nearby street. Don't expect 5 star service, but expect 5 star food with great cheap prices.

I visited this place & had lunch last Saturday. Had ordered samosa, Chana masala, chapatis, Veg pulav, regular lassi & raj-mah, alu sabji as parcel for dinner. First of all I really didn't understand if this place charges taxes coz they only accept cash so I assumed there won't be any taxes however that was not the case. They asked me to pay CA$ 31.90 against the bill of 29.25 CA$ (assuming 1.00 CA$ for water bottle) else as per their menu I had ordered foods worth 28.25 CA$. Now, let's move to my reviews as below 1. Samosas (CA$ 2.00) - biggest disappointment, you can't sell anything by just calling it samosa, it was full of oil & there was no filling like samosa in it so a big no no for me. 2. Chana Masala - very simple test & medium quantity however worth the price of CA$ 4.00 3. Chapatis - CA$ 1.00 so worth it. 4. Veg. Pulav - we can't call it pulav, it was just ordinary rice with some peas & tomatoes & masala in very small quantities however you can't expect anything more at a price of CA$ 4.00 5. Alu Sabji - again very simple boiled alu Sabji in medium quantity so justifies its cost of CA$ 4.75 6. Raj-mah - Couldn't taste it coz I had taken it as a parcel & wanted to have it in my dinner but it got stale so I had to threw it. 7. Regular lassi (Sweet)- looking at the quantity, I feel its worth CA$ 3.00 So overall, Ok Ok kind of experience but I kept feeling heaviness in stomach till late night after having the lunch so not sure Abt the quality of ingredients they use to prepare the food however looking at the crowd I assume all good. Conclusion: As per Indian standards you can call it a "Vojnalaya" where we get a reasonable food at very reasonable price coz you won't get the feelings of a restaurant food here. Special thanks to guys(Waiters) here for their polite behavior & fast service. PS: The guy with beards at the billing counter tries to pretend like a Britisher with fake accents & behavior makes you feel uncomfortable instead of adding any value to this place.

Great food at some of the best prices I've seen for an Indian restaurant. Value was excellent & I couldn't even finish my $12 meal. Service was very fast & friendly, the owner himself served us & chatted with us. There's also a great selection of Indian desserts. Very eager to visit again. Just be aware that they only take cash.

Amazing Indian vegetarian delights. Their curries, dals, aloo Gobi, Channa masala with rice & naan is so flavourful, glorious & delicious. Usually I get some vegetable pakora & samosas to go. All their Indian sweets- desserts are sweet & tasty also. My fave are the coconut dusted gulab Jamun, barfi & Kalakand. A simple establishment. They take cash only. If Indian spices are to your liking you shan't be disappointed.

Where else can you find really good 2 pieces of Indian samosa with a tangy chutney that takes you back to Indian food street for $2 in Montreal? I will go there just to have their Samosa, very pocket friendly place but just be aware that it is a Cash only place. We also had Chhola Bhatura & Onion Kulcha, found the chhola bland but at the price point this is an amazing place & must try if you are craving Indian snack

VEG restaurant with good seating. Restaurant accepts only CASH. Prices are very reasonable. Food is good. Tried their samosa & pakora combo 2$ & their thali was very filling at 8.50$. Masala chai was not that great. Gulab jamun was not bad for one piece at a dollar.
